it depends on what capello want, if he want a technical inventive attractive style of play then it must be carrick all the time over workhorse player like gerrardFilippo Inzaghi wrote:Carrick should of played for England a long time ago in place of Gerrard.

Remember Mauro, Liverpool fans don't care about England yet they cry when one of their players do not get picked

That would be horrible. Anyway regarding Rooney and Hernnadez being unfit for the Champions league match is concerning. What will our attack be like?

I want Welbeck and Berbatov to start, I don't think Rooney will play v Norwich either personally.

They keep mentioning Hernandez could be back for Norwich, but nothing on Rooney. I suppose they are not bad games to miss, if he does.

Good thing there's an international break after Norwich and before Anfield.

Reckon it'll be Berba and Welbeck weirdly.

Hoping for Berbatov - Welbeck but have that feeling Owen might start ahead of Welbeck

@mrmujac:
IMHO Carrick (& Berbs) puts the team in infront of personal glory. They always get stick but I´m sure they wouldn´t be here if they weren´t following Fergies instructions of what to do on the pitch, and if they weren´t doing the job good enough.
Conversation with #mufc coach today: "It was great for Zeki, but he came off buzzing about how much Carrick helped him through game..."
..."Carrick was constantly talking to Zeki...when to pass...where to take positions...loads of encouragement..." #rolemodel
#mufc coach: "it's this sort of thing that makes all the difference to young players but never makes the headlines and is missed by fans.."
#mufc coach: "there's a buzz about the place right now and all the younger players know they all have a chance...it's up to them to take it"
#mufc coach: "We've got Aldershot? That's fantastic...kids will get another chance..."

I don't mind Carrick playing alongside Anderson personally, don't want Fletcher playing though.

Reading the paper earlier, it gave Fletcher the same match rating as De Gea, Jones and Nani.

Carrick is one of my favorite players at the moment, you either love him or hate him.

Looks to be back to full-fitness now, Anderson and Fletcher look like a dynamic midfield duo.

Re: Manchester United FC Official Thread
Thing is with Fletcher, I don't hate him or anything just don't think he has been anywhere near his best for a good season and a half. Basically when Carrick became good again he went poor
Also, when he plays along side Anderson we see less of Andersons attacking play as Anderson feels the need to track back a lot more. Where as with Carrick along side Anderson he can express himself more and have a bit more freedom knowing that Carrick will sit back and will cover him, protect the defence, retain possession and keep the ball.
