He needs to sign Cavani for proof.

I'd prefer Lavezzi to Cavani, think he'd suit better and is more realistic.

Re: Liverpool FC Official Thread
We could do with a front man. Like Torres who was lethal infront of goal. Right now we have three strikers who play behind the striker. We don't need Lavezzi. Someone who's got pace, strength, reasonable height and great finishing ability would be nice. Cavani isn't too unrealistic. Suarez will have a word .
We missed out on Falcao in my opinion.

I'd say we have two definitive strikers and two that play off the striker.Cadbury wrote:We could do with a front man. Like Torres who was lethal infront of goal. Kuyt? I reckon Bellend could play that role as well.

Carroll and Kuyt. Kuyts natural position is striker, he usually does well there but never gets played.

I think Carragher's a better defender than attacker
Jokes, I see Kuyt as more of a center-forward too.

Porto weren't prepared to sell him when you needed a striker.

Three years ago, we could have bought him for £3 million.
But we didn't have a pot to piss in.

We could have waited until summer. It's not like we had anything to lose.
If Falcao was willing to make that move from a Champions League club to a club who missed out, then we could have been in with a shout. There aren't many like him. Shame.
Really, I'm thinking a player along the lines of Cavani, Higuain, Falcao would be great.

So king Kenny has spent basicly 1/6 of his net worth on transfers.CollieBuddz wrote:John Henry has just made the Forbes 400 list of wealthiest yanks for the first time with an estimated worth of $1.1bn.

He'll obviously be making a profit owning the club.

Re: Liverpool FC Official Thread
Lavezzi would of been a terrible move. The man is not a footballer, he's the Gareth Bale of Italy. Head down, run run run run.
Only reason he plays well is because he's alongside Cavani.

Lavezzi is awesome and would be great on the outside in a 4-2-3-1. I feel like he's a bit of a ball hog though.
Cavani would be amazing.

Re: Liverpool FC Official Thread
Did you not read my post? I watch Lavezzi enough to know how good he is. He's quick, explosive, can get past a man if he want too but that's it. His overall teamwork and general workrate for anyone other than himself is quite poor. Playing him on the wing will just create another Gareth Bale, don't know if you want that but I certainly don't.Mustangt125 wrote:Lavezzi is awesome and would be great on the outside in a 4-2-3-1. Seems like you are exaggerating somewhat, but then again I have hardly watched him.

Re: Liverpool FC Official Thread
Can't believe we're sitting here talking about strikers, after all the money spent in the last 8/9 months on our forward line, I think the problem is, Carroll's just not good enough and never will be, Kenny's fucked up big time, I'm just gunna' say it, not walking on eggshells any more with Carroll, love the lad, love his character, but he's nowhere near good enough for Liverpool, and everyone here knows that. £35m wasted. And this is not me being negative, people know I'm not a negative person, but it's as clear as day he hasn't got the overall ability to play at this level.

Re: Liverpool FC Official Thread
lavezzi is physical direct player but hes not a dumb player like bale. he can play in variety of position and actually has 2 foot. indeed he loves the old kick and chase technique but he cannot have 15 or 16 assist(assist leader last season in serie a) due to "baleism"

Re: Liverpool FC Official Thread
Cavani would be a dream. Suarez can have a few words, sorted.
Carroll just depresses me. Rather just avoid going on about his and Kenny's failures.
