I agree with Ronald Paul on space, it's a fantastic waste of money.

Newton is a massive massive wanker. Trying to justify pissing billions up the wall to get one over on the Chinese is ridiculous.

He didn't say that. His issue is with who is funding it.

Re: Republican Nominees
Nope. Not really. Increase Nasa's budget by a dozen billion and get private companies contracted and it could be done once we get the technology. (which we are near, just need a few more breakthroughs)ahlycotc wrote:Lus Suarez wrote:Romney, it would only cost a couple of billion.

The money could easily come out of the military budget.

Fantastic waste for the government to be paying it. It's none of the government's business.

You are an idiot if you truly believe that.ResurrectionRooney wrote:I agree with Ronald Paul on space, it's a fantastic waste of money.
Watch some TED videos and see what the experts on the field are saying.
edit: Of course unless you meant the government spending that money, in which I agree. America can't invest in space, not this decade. Maybe next.

Newton is completely full of shit as well, he could not do all the fantastic shite that he's claiming he could because Congress would never commit enough cash to it. A moonbase, fucking hell, I think he already lives on another planet.

Experts in the field have a vested interest in it, the fact of the matter is that the money could be far better spent in other areas, including tax cuts.

Re: Republican Nominees
It's not a waste of money, we just can't afford it right now. We need to get our budget balanced and then decrease the debt. Pumping in billions into the space program isn't helping. By the time we see any benefits from it, the country will be already bankrupt.

Re: Republican Nominees
Yah, it's not like space will be profitable for some time. Maybe moon mining in the distant future.
The budget needs to be balanced first. Let China play with space for the time being. In the mean time, give money to research and promote private company involvement in the fields like what Google is doing.

Obamacare sounds like a pretty good idea, I don't know why Richard is criticising Willard for this.

I agree with the ideas of Obamacare. Especially since I get to stay on my parents' health insurance policy for longer.ResurrectionRooney wrote:Obamacare sounds like a pretty good idea, I don't know why Richard is criticising Willard for this.

How have the American people been convinced that Universal Healthcare is a bad idea? Almost no-one who actually lives under it thinks it's a bad idea.

I knew Paul wouldn't say a name for a Latino politician. It's a silly question anyways.

Misinformation and a lack of common sense.
