No not really. Right now we are probably the worst team in the league, but I am not going to worry because its only 5 games in. If we are still playing like this after 15 games then I will worry, but right now I am not worried at all. When you consider that one win takes up from 17 to 10th its not really as bad as people make it out to be. We do have a lot of issues, but nothing that can't be corrected once the team finds an identity. Right now that is our main issue we do not have an identity, and our back line is shit. Woj has saved us from conceding a lot more goals than we should have and our midfield is utter shit. I blame this all on Wenger because he left it so late and basically depleted our team and then signed fucking jokes to fill the void. That being said, Arteta, Young, Per, Ger, and maybe Yossi can all still help turn it around. Gervinho will be a beast that much I don't doubt, but we need help in the middle of the park because we are giving the ball up way too much and no one is looking like they want to take on players and score except for Gervinho. Robin hasn't looked dangerous in any of the games I have watched so far even though he has scored a couple goals.

10th is still a joke even at this early stage.

I just wanna make it to the mid point of the season still toward the middle of the table and HOPE that Wenger spends more money then make a real charge in the second half of the season. If we don't make a run then, we may end up relegated after we take another late season loss of form and eventually hand over points to teams we should beat.

I feel you. If we aren't top 6 come January we can basically just write off this season and get ready for a mass exodus of players and a fan revolt.

If we can be in the 4-7 range around January and Wenger buys players even if they are cup tied then I think we can really make a push to stabilize our position in the top 4.

True, but we also need to just say fuck it and drop the cash on Cahill because we need him. Vermaelen can't stay healthy to save his life and we need to go snatch up a better left back.

I wouldn't be too mad if we made audacious bids to sign Eden or Mario during the winter window.

I would offer £35M for either of them and go upto £50M.

Not because they are worth it.. but because we need them.

That much is debatable. If Kroenke had complete control of the club I could easily see us doing that, and a definite if Usmanov ever was allowed on the board.

@Chris: Yeah we do need them, but I couldn't do £50m. I would rather just spend that money on Ricardo even though he is older than both of those players. Ideally I wouldn't mind one of either Eden or Mario and Ricardo. Will never happen, but a man can dream.

I think it would take a £40m+ bid from us to get BVB to sell their star man. Even then I struggle to find any reason in his point of view to join Arsenal.
I bet Chelsea will offer a big money for him in January also.

If he struggles to get games at Madrid I wouldn't mind us getting him on loan in January till the end of the season. Beats having Arteta/Ramsey/Benayoun.

Well we were linked with him this summer. Montolivo is not what we need nor what I want. I used to rate him years ago, but I don't so much care for him anymore.

I can't see Mario leaving Germany for at least another year +1. I don't think he would come to Arsenal though because right now Wenger and our board haven't really made Arsenal an attractive club to join. If we start winning then that can change, but its not looking good right now.

I've seen plenty of Eden, but not much of Mario since I don't really follow the Bundesliga like that. I don't think Eden is better than him. He is quality and will only get better, but he isn't there yet in my opinion. The ship hasn't sailed in my opinion, I think he can still be a beast if he were to leave Real Madrid.
