also.
"Wenger on Chamakh having the captain’s armband for the final 10 minutes…
He could find anybody! I told him to keep it, what does it matter for the last 10 minutes. Thomas Vermaelen is the vice-captain but it was difficult to find him!"

You are a pretty shit fan if that's one of the main reasons you love Arsenal winning.

Really have a good feeling about Arteta, I'm sure most of you will disagree though . Thought he looked good yesterday, was talking to players and seemed to fit in nicely with our system. Reckon once he's settled in and got to know the players and their movement he'll be pulling the strings like made.
''Mikel Arteta had 100% accuracy in through and long passes, and 91% overall v Swansea.''

You could see Arterta shouting on one corner, Mert seems a bit quiet, but more intelligent.

Re: Official Arsenal FC Thread
Would be surprised if he did have problems fitting in, fits the team easily enough (I'm sure you have a few young midfielders that could slot in as well). Problem wasn't that, was more that he's not really good enough to replace those that left.
I like him though so I want him to do well.

that Swansea game was just.. entertaining.. really wish we put away a few more though. a 3/4-0 win would have been nice.

Please no. Dortmund is an excellent team to play against for him. He'll prove his doubters wrong.

Hasn't performed for us this season at all yet so it's not much of a loss.

Has Van Persie?
Dortmund are probably laughing at the fact that Benayoun is our starter now

Nope but van Persie still offers a lot more to the team and is always a threat, Walcott should also be dropped from the XI.

Depends whether Arsene wants to move Arteta next to Song.

Who says both can't play, Wenger may wanna bulk up the centre with both Song and Frimpong there.

Realistically though, Arsene is not going to stick Benayoun on the wing over Arshavin/Walcott/Gervinho.Dave wrote:Zlatan wrote:Will Benayoun start or will it be Frimpong

Re: Official Arsenal FC Thread
There's actually quite a few options to go with, maybe not player wise, but Benayoun has added a bit of versatility, and Arteta can take the AM or CM position where as Frimpong can take the CM or DM position.
If I was in charge though, I would go with this
If it were a team with a lot of Champions League experience, then I would probably go with Frimpong considering it is an away game as well. But I think we could probably give them a fright if we attack them more.
