No, but money was obviously a big motivating factor, as much as it is for Raul Meireles. It's the same as with the likes of Meireles, Torres, Nasri, they move to clubs who have had more success and a stronger team recently, and currently are stronger, and their fans, rather than accepting 'At the moment they are more attractive' immediately latch onto the wages thing. The worst thing though, is this insistence that 'We don't want players like that', well no, you do want players like that, because your team is filled with players like that, players for whom you would pay the most for.

I haven't stated otherwise that some players are motivated by money. Anyone who thinks I have is obviously mentally challenged.

Secondly, every single member of the squad is motivated by money? I doubt it. We'll have players that are willing to play for us because of who we have, with the money as a bonus. Same with every top club. I don't believe we have anyone at the club who is here because we are paying them a lot.

As for Raul, my point is, he signed the contract. If he wasn't happy with it, that's his fault. Not ours.

Adam has done very well so far. Just sitting infront of Lucas let him mop up, while he flings balls around park. Good system imo.

Why are so many people depressed, fucking hell Cam, you're acting as if our best player left. Raul Meireles is not good. He scored a few goals but that's it. He isn't a good player. I'm only angry because of the way that he left and who he left to during a time when most fans are feeling happy and optimistic. The guy's a twat.

Anyway, our squad list looks great. We'll need to bring in a midfielder just to boost our options now that cunt has left. Make it a Spaniard to make Reina happy.

For once we have a very decent bench.

We should have taxed Yossi if we knew Meireles was going. Been a decent replacement for a loan.
