I love how it's now officially impossible to criticize a manager without being classed a "hater." It's also apparently impossible to disagree with the Bat Man without being classed an idiot who knows nothing about football.

Brutal.
I'm in Bahrain now. Not quite as dusty down here. Just the occasional sprinkling of tear gas.

Kuwait's been so quiet while the rest of the Middle East tears itself apart.
So what's your story, I've always been meaning to ask why you live in the Middle East.

I've been workin for an international British/American law group for about 4 years. They had me in Kuwait for about 3 years and last year, they asked me to help start an office in Bahrain. I guess they figure insurrection is the best time for the lawyers to come in.

I fully stand by what I said. If Arsenal fail to qualify for the CL next season, he should get the immediate sacking in the summer. If they do qualify for the CL and he fails to improve the team next season, he should get the sack in 2013.
People are overreacting because of a few wins (two of which required added time) and the failings of others. What has Wenger actually done over the past month? I get it. Wenger is this untouchable to you guys and seeing someone criticize him and calling for his sacking irritates you. If that's the case, you can bitch and cry all you want to me.

Taken us from 5th and into the top 4 with a 3 point lead, and put us 1 point behind Spurs in 3rd.
Considering we were tipped by many to actually drop out of the top 4 this season, I think a potential 3rd place finish is pretty good.

Re: Should Wenger Get The Sack?
Over the past month:
Arsenal 5-2 Tottenham Hotspurs
Liverpool 1-2 Arsenal
Arsenal 3-0 AC Milan
Arsenal 2-1 Newcastle
Reached an agreement to sign Lukas Podolski
Rosicky signed a new contract
Wenger stated he is willing to change wage structure to keep Robin van Persie.
We are sitting 4th
3 Points Clear of Chelsea
1 Point behind Tottenham Hotspurs
Seeing the start to the season we had I think Wenger has done a fucking good job.Nobody that would replace him even Mourinho or Guardiola would do as good a job as Wenger.Wenger knows what is best for the club.He in untouchable because nobody else is good enough for the Arsenal job.

I think Klopp would be a great replacement if Arsenal fail to get to CL football for next season. If it's 2013, the possibilities are endless. You have Pep, Mourinho, Hiddink, Capello, etc. You don't even need someone who is better than Wenger in talent. You just need a new face in their to guide the team to a different direction. After so many years managing a club, a manager can't be as affective anymore.

Was that his doing? I think there was an element of luck in it all.
v Spurs: They just say back as if they won the game at 2-0.
v Liverpool: Liverpool dominated and managed to still lose in stoppage time.
v Newcastle: Newcastle were awful and you needed 4 minutes of stoppage time to secure a win.
Plus you had teams like Chelsea, Liverpool, and Spurs fail in their other matches to make your rise easier. I'm not taking anything away from the Arsenal players. They fought with passion and they deserve it. But I wouldn't start praising Wenger just because of three wins and forget all the things earlier in the season and the past years.

Team plays shit, it's all Wenger's fault. Team plays well and grinds out results, Wenger had nothing to do with it.
Ahly, stop being ridiculous. If we finish third this season, then we've actually progressed since last season. That's impressive considering the amount of money at our disposal, and it's even more impressive when you consider what our rivals have spent.

How much longer are you willing to put up with 3rd and 4th place finishes in the league? Is simply qualifying for CL and never winning silverware good enough? Doesn't being tipped to drop out of the top 4 in the first place demonstrate to you that Wenger isn't doing enough to improve the squad? That's like me saying "my wife was tipped to die because of all the beatings I was giving her but then I stopped and she survived. Give me a cookie"

Simply qualifying for the Champions League isn't good enough on the long run, but at this moment in time, with our current financial predicament, it's acceptable. We expect that in the near future we'll have a better chance of winning titles. If he fails to win trophies then, then we can start to consider getting rid of him. Also, being tipped to drop out of the top four isn't indicative of anything. The judgement of the so-called experts in the media is completely unreliable.

No, it wasn't his doing, the players just went out onto the field with out being spoken to by their manager on tactics and formations etc.
Against Spurs we were the better team overall and deserved the win.
I wouldn't say 'dominated', the second half was lot more open and we ended up taking our chances. Don't forget that they had just come off the back of winning the Carling Cup and had a lot of confidence going into the game.
Newcastle weren't awful. They defended very well at times and kept us out, in the end we got what we deserved though. And the 5 minutes of stoppage time came from the consistent time wasting through out the regular 90 minutes.
That's is generally how leagues work, if one team loses and another wins, you tend to gain points on the team that lost...
You say you aren't taking anything away from the players? Fuck off. Your match 'analysis's' practically undermine everything that they have done in the past month.
As for the last point you made, that has been discussed between yourself and others plenty of times in this thread. I don't know why you keep bringing it up.

Do people not read all the words in my posts? Let me repeat it again in simple terms...
Finish below 4th in 2011/12 season = sacking
Finish 4th or above in 2011/12 season = assess him in 2013
So don't tell me finishing 3rd or 4th this season is not bad. Because I'm not asking for his head if accomplishes that this season.

I've tried asking them that question and I haven't got a proper response yet. Either they are too scared to admit that Wenger is untouchable or they actually agree with me but are too embarrassed to say so. I even got some people saying that Arsenal are doing a better job than Bolton with a similar transfer spending.

Obviously we all want some silverware, but the improvements we are trying to do take time. We haven't got the finances to compete with the likes of Chelsea, Manchester United and Manchester City.
