He then recalls a funny story about telling Xabi he was punching above his weight after he'd seen Xabi's stunning missus.
Bellamy told Carra just before he left "whatever anyone says about me ,I played for the club I support, scored the winner in the Nou Camp and scored in front of the Kop. No one will ever be able to take that away from me".
Is this a good thing?
Not sure, wouldn't necessarily say it's a bad thing either, depends how Carragher is interpreting it. Could just mean, that he's always lively, always works hard and he's enthusiastic in training. He's a big character, but under Kenny's management, the lad would flourish I think, personally. He flourished under the late great Bobby Robson at Newcastle (great man manager).
The likes of Benitez and Mancini, they are managers he's clashed with. They are not 'great' man managers, fantastic coaches, but not great man managers. Kenny and Bellamy would get on like a house on fire. And has been said, a few of our lads already now Bellamy well from his first time here.
Free transfer, 2 year contract, 50-60k a week. Great deal.
