Kenny after the match - "Raul Meireles has had a difficult pre-season with injuries so we've got to look after him as well as Luis."

It's shit.
Nah, it's a great photo that. Summed up the game basically.

It's disgraceful the way he's been treated.

I agree, can't believe he's been dumped to the bench because of these new signings.

Seriously though, I'm kind of glad how the majority of our fans have reacted towards the Arsenal fans this time. Can guarantee if they won loads of them would have be in this thread taking the piss, obviously this is a good win, but, to me, it proves that we're the bigger club when we don't feel that winning away at Arsenal is a cue to start taking the piss, and that it is greeted with a "good win, now let's focus on next week" sort of mentality, like Liverpool teams of old always would have done. Shows that despite what people say, we're not a small-time club who regard a win at Arsenal as some sort of miracle.

The only thing I said about Arsenal was that Vermaelen is the best CB in the league.Jay wrote:Seriously though, I'm kind of glad how the majority of our fans have reacted towards the Arsenal fans this time. Don't stress that part. Staying healthy and especially staying disciplined (which was their problem really) is something that winning sides do

After thinking about it, Raul should definatley be starting games. He just has the understanding of the team and play that Henderson doesn't have yet, he just doesn't seem to do anything but get in the way of others who could be more creative.

Isn't the reason laid out by Kenny there? He's had injuries?

Yes. Some people act blind to it though, namely Jamie. Apparently it's a disgrace that he's been dumped on the bench

We can't sell Raul and Aquilani. That would be a dosaster. Aquilani's pretty much gone, at least keep Meireles.

Jesus Christ. what bookies was giving odds of 100 - 1 on that? Suarez was low odds on most of the bookies I was looking at today.

Re: Liverpool FC Official Thread
What would you lot have thought if we'd signed Shane Long from Reading?
2 in 2 against United and Chelsea, better than N'Gog, for a few million, he could have been worth a gamble.

Me neither. Just need a 1-1 draw. The odds were Shane Long to score first and the game to finish 1-1 at 75 - 1.
