I'm not usually a fan of players other then defenders getting the armband. But RvP is a class act on the pitch and I love him.

I'm not usually a fan of attacking players being captains, think it should be central midfielders and central defenders.

Bordeaux are a bad team, they would be relegated in the Premier League. £15-20m might not be great business but Ferguson knows what he's doing, and he wouldn't have signed him if he was shit like Djorou, Squillaci and Koscielny, would he?

Bordeaux aren't shit they got to the Champions' League quarter final 2 years ago, Obertan was considered to be France's best prospect and Ferguson handled him badly then shipped him off to Newcastle and I am sure he will do great there.

So it'll be Vermaelen's first game as vice captain and he'll be the captain for the match.
