    It's actually a privilege to watch both of these artists play the game. Both men know how to create a masterpiece with their feet, and control a midfield with their tactical discipline. We should just sit back and watch in awe because the true winner here is ultimately football.

    Pirlo also never commits bonebreaking challenges like Scholes used to, he knows exactly where the ball will come, even though he's a deep-lying playmaker and not a holding mid he's good in the tackle and hardly has to go to the ground.
    Their long shots are about the same I'd say, even though Scholes just would smash a ball towards goal whereas Pirlo often tries to curl it into the top corner.
