Yep, because winning a world cup makes you a better player, somehow.
not many other ways to determine who is better if u looking at team feats
pirlo won all the trophies that scholes won. he win league titles, domestic cups, champions leagues even the club world cup if it mean anything..... u21 champion but importantly, world cup makes nice addition to that list
hes even olympic medalist
so its not as if u can familiarize this with some loser like gerrard who inevitably will be involved in discussions about him not winning many trophies due to shit team

Italy pretty much won it because of him, I mean he was instrumental in it.Mal wrote:fluffy_kittens wrote:Pirlo won a world cup did he not? Pirlo.

Not really. He did play well, but the likes of Cannavaro and Buffon were instrumental as well.

Re: Scholes vs Pirlo
I think it depends on the team you intend to play them on, I think that had they been on opposite teams, both would have suffered for it.
Taking away that factor, I think Pirlo's game is better in more situations but both are fantastic.
Finally, a poll on here worthy of being a poll lol

I remember the 2006 WC very well.
I remember watching the 2002 WC as well. I watched Brazil vs England (where I was told to route for the team in the yellow), and the final between Brazil and Germany.

I haven't seen that much from Pirlo apart from a few Italy games.

There's no denying that Pirlo's last few years with Milan were disappointing, Scholes last year and the season before (he came out of retirement this year right?) were very good. Over the long run they are both very even imo.

Re: Scholes vs Pirlo
Close enough to be compared. Better than most of the comparison threads we have. Most of them are like Robin Van Persie vs. John O'Shea and Ashley Cole vs. Peter Crouch.
Either that or people just completely bum fuck the thread.

Scholes probably..as he's more solid and build for the physical side as well.

Re: Scholes vs Pirlo
I think its unfair to compare them because Scholes is several years older then Pirlo, so who knows what Pirlo still has in the bag, right now I'd say it's close but I think Pirlo will end up the better player.

Oh my god
homophobic? wtf!
And maybe he's never played in England because he was playing for Inter, Milan and Juve
You have some wallopers in your country
Unless you play in the EPL, you have not proven yourself.
That is the little englander attitude which plays it's part in your continual failure at World Cup and European Championship events.
