He may be overrated, but he's better then Dann. He's slow, but he also made the most interceptions in the German league last season, and more then any defender in the PL last season. He reads the game well, and when he gets caught out with his pace, Vermaelen will be there to clear up because he's rapid for a CB.

And about Cesc: For him maybe he wasn't as good as he could have been, but he still had a good season. His injuries hampered him more then anything. Whenever he started getting into a good patch of form, he got injured.
