When Lennon and Celtic try to claim there is a conspiracy against them, it pisses me off; as if they are so damn important that there is a massive conspiracy between the SFA, referees and all the other clubs just to duff them out of a few points. That's why I use the term Old Firm, in my view Celtic and Rangers are as bad as each other.
1) I agree with you here. Although, I think it's harsh to punish the club so much for something which Craig Whyte alone (pretty much) has done, difficult to see what else they could do but it's hurting the club far more than it's hurting him. The real protest should be about how the previous board allowed us to get into such a mess.
2 )And Maestro, these charges aren't about the cheating allegations (however true they are), so piss off with the "right to cheat" crap.
1) Craig Whyte and Rangers are separate entities, but at the risk of stating the obvious... you can't grasp that he is still owner of Rangers, the unpaid tax was Rangers unpaid tax not Craig Whyte's!!
If a team gets relegated, you can't appeal the relegation and say it's the manager who should be punished not the club because it was his fault
2) The charges are for buying players which you couldn't afford and had no intention for paying for, and still haven't paid for.
Rangers owe: Hearts (£800,000), Dunfermline Athletic (£83,370), Dundee United (£65,981), Celtic (£40,337) and Inverness Caledonian Thistle (£39,805).
English clubs are also owed more than £700,000. This breaks down as: Manchester City (£328,248), Chelsea (£238,345) and Arsenal (£136,560).
European clubs are also owed more than £1.6m, including Rapid Vienna (£1,011,763), St Etienne (£252,212), Palermo (£205,513) and Orebro (£150,000).
Do you think clubs should just be allowed to buy whoever they like then not pay the money for them? January: Celtic offered Jelavic, they couldn't afford him so they never bought him. August: Rangers are offered Jelavicc, they couldn't afford him but bought him anyway. If that's not an offence then what is?
