Somebody researched it on Rangers Media.

Shame you didn't lost this season then, eh?

I meant didn't win. I'll find it later.

There's nothing in it anyway, it's just a statistical quirk.

Apparently we should have won 4-0, but one was wrongly ruled out, and we can't score penalties. facepalm

Probably should have. Celtic weren't great but Hibs 0 shots 0 on target shows how poor they were

I'd like to see the top two not being the usual Celtic and Rangers. Obviously one of them will be but I'd like to see someone like Hearts finish second. Over who? I don't really care.

That would be shit. Nobody watches the Spl for team like Scumdee United. Even their own fans only go to the games where they play Rangers or Celtic. They only go to see the OF. That league would be dead without the OF. The SPL should just be called the OFPL because the other teams just make up the numbers. Their own "fans" dont even go and watch them. They go to watch the OF

You don't think it would make for a bit of excitement in the SPL for once? Having somebody like Aberdeen or Kilmarnock finish higher than one of the OF so it wouldn't be just a two horse race for the title. The more teams that can win the league would make for a better SPL imo.

If a team outside the OF had 2 matches to secure the SPL title I'd probably watch them both, whereas last season even though it went down to the final day I couldn't be bothered watching both the OF smash their opposition.

I've thought about what would happen to Scottish football if the OF left. I think with the extra money the clubs get, they'd be able to grow and prosper. On the other hand, the UEFA coefficient would plummit before that could happen, and it would end up as a much lower quality league.

Will the Scots follow the lead of the Dutch anytime soon to let non league teams to get into the Scottish Football League? I feel almost that Scottish non league football is like a waste of time when you cannot get promoted to climb the food chain so to speak.

Scottish football is a total farce tbh. Absolute shambles how far ahead the OF are.

So Jim Jefferies has left Hearts / been sacked Surprised
Bit of a surprise there after 3 competitive games, 2 of which were good results. Apparently he refused to be shifted to the director of football role so that a new boss could come in scratch

The SPL is going to be very interesting indeed this campaign.

Rangers are champions and McCoist has a lot of pressure on his shoulders, but people can easily forget that he has no experience of first team management. Rangers previous three title wins were largely down to the manager Walter Smith, who produced a team that were not exciting but consistent and efficient.

McCoist lacks that managerial know-how and I think he will struggle at first. It wouldn't surprise me if Rangers are sitting in 3rd at ths halfway point of the season, but then pick up and finish in 2nd place: still being quite a way behind Celtic who should really win the league this year with their superior squad.
