2012/13 FA Cup thread
The 2012–13 FA Cup is the 132nd season of the longest-running association football cup competition. 758 clubs were accepted for the competition, 5 fewer than the previous year's 763. The large number of clubs entering the tournament from lower down the English football league system means that the competition starts with a number of preliminary and qualifying rounds. The 32 victorious teams from the Fourth Round Qualifying will progress to the First Round proper.

I take it the numbers in brackets are their level in the pyramid?
I went to Padiham - Burscough on Monday. Drew 0-0.

Indeed the level of pyramid is what I put in brackets. In the next round teams from level 7 join the competition.

I know, this is the first time I've seen Burscough in the prelims.

Re: 2012/13 FA Cup thread
The cup game that I went to on saturday (Bishops Cleeve 2-2 Ascot United) was abandoned after 83 mins as the pitch was deeply flooded, so much so that the rearranged game was also called off yesterday. I guess when they do play, a replay would seek to be avoided at all costs.

Brilliant. Signed all those old cunts to get through and they get smashed before the first qualifying round.RubyArmyCTFC wrote:Wembley 0-5 Uxbridge in the replay.

I agree with you. Hopefully ESPN will broadcast Uxbridge v Berkhamsted for the next round as they would have done if Wembley had won.

How about some notable results, or at least things I think people would have been interested in knowing what happened.
AFC Liverpool 0-1 Prescot Cables
Curzon Ashton 2-2 Northwich Victoria; Curzon Ashton advance 4–2 on penalties.
Loughborough Dynamo 3-0 Glossop North End

Re: 2012/13 FA Cup thread
The FA Cup 1st round Qualifying results are here.
Today I went to Bishops Cleeve against Bracknell town and the game finished 6-0 to the hosts. The quality of football Cleeve played was outstanding for a side in the 4th tier of non league football and there were several quality goals. Funny moment was a Bracknell player who got booked for going way over the top with his swearing, before apologizing twice to the crowd and then later getting involved in a bust up with his own team mate .
Enjoying the early rounds so far. Hopefully another home draw for Cleeve. That or Gloucester away at Whaddon Road.

Burscough 2-4 Witton Albion.
We were 2-0 down after 10 minutes, 3-0 at HT. Got within a goal late on, and conceded again.

In fairness that's expected. There's a couple of leagues difference between the two.

Good to know, I posted that because I thought AFC Liverpool might be a popular non-league side.

Had quite a decent rise. Started of by fans of Liverpool that couldn't afford to go to the match regularly. Had quite a bit of success at their level.

Slough are out of it I presume.
I can't find a decent enough website that's updated, looking to see Slough's and Windsor's progress.
Also who was the last non-league team to reach the 2nd/3rd round?
