José Ángel has joined Roma. Shame, wanted him to stay in La Liga.

The Ronaldo, Coentrao, Marcelo connection was amazing, and Özil's vision damn I doubt any other player would've passed the ball down there for the third goal, I don't even know how he did see Ronaldo.

For a moment I thought Rooney was wearing the Inter kit.

Disappointed to see Capdevilla leave La Liga.
Some Spanish media outlets suggesting Josep Maria Bartomeu has traveled to London to try and close the Cesc deal.

Re: La Liga 11/12
Who do you reckon will be Capdevila's replacement long term for the national team - José Ángel, Dídac Vilà, José Enrique, Monreal or someone else?

Re: La Liga 11/12
If Didac Vilá keeps improving at the consistent rate he is at the moment I don't see why it can't be him, fits with the philosophy so well also. Wouldn't rule out Monreal or Ángel however, like most of the positions right now there is more than one strong candidate.

Arbeloa will maybe get a chance too, hope not though.
Older than the rest, don't really like his style and then of course he's a Madridista.

Re: La Liga 11/12
Seeing as you're both online, is Diego Capel any good?
I think he's shit personally but I don't watch La Liga much. Plus he's young so it could be worse.

Re: La Liga 11/12
Yeah Sean but he's back on loan at Espanyol now. Was excellent at the u21's this summer.
Ahhhhhhhhh Capel. Can't stand him, I think he's absolute shite and living off 1 promising breakthrough season. Went backwards since then and likes to dive more than he likes to play football.

Capel? As Jamie points out.....he had one promising season that to this day he is still living off. Most of the time he is like a headless chicken that likes to spend most of is time lying on the ground, with the occasional flash of good play.

Feck that, not calling it either way
Too close to call for me, Aaron will say Valencia though.

Were Valencia much better last season, I know it was a gap of like a 9 point lead?

Villarreal didn't have a big enough squad to handle playing in the league and making it to the Europa League semi finals. They had a pretty bad slump towards the end of the season which probably accounts for a lot of the points gap.

Jamie.
Lets see what happens in the transfer market first. Still potentially big deals for both clubs to conclude. I like Valencia's buys so far and I'm sure there will be more to come, definitely in defence.

I'm going to try and get into La Liga this year as it's easy to watch and I don't need to use streams. But saying that, I say the same thing every summer, watch all the opening weekend games, and then only watch every now and then
