Juror explains verdict
I am not terribly familiar with the evidence in this case, but what this juror from the Anthony trial is saying here makes a lot of sense in concept: you cannot convict on the basis of emotion. I'm not sure if what she is saying about the lack of evidence is accurate or not, but what she is saying about what is needed to give a guilty verdict is perfectly accurate. According to her, the prosecution didn't even prove that the girl was murdered. They obviously proved that she was dead, but they didn't prove how. So when it comes down to it, how can you convict somebody of murder when you cannot even prove beyond a reasonable doubt that there was a murder in the first place?
That's why she walked, lack of forensic evidence. However, I dont think many 2 year old kids can stumble themselves two miles from their home and throw themselves into a swamp, while also having previously wrapped their own head with duct tape.
That spells murder to me.
True. There are only two explanations for something like that: 1) some sick fucker murdered her or 2) some sick fucker found her dead, panicked, thought she/he might be held responsible in some way and tried to cover it up. So in either case, we're dealing with a sick fuck. But in the latter, not necessarily a murderer.
What really makes me scratch my head is the other charges against her. She's found not guilty of everything but four counts of providing false information to police. Wtf? Where's the obstruction of justice charge? And isn't there a cause of action for trying to cover up the death of a human being? Murderer or not, this chick clearly needs to spend at least three or four more years behind bars.
Yeah, she is getting hit with 4 counts if lying to prosecutors I believe. The problem with that is she has been in jail the past three years while investigation, discovery, etc has been ongoing. I think, at most, she will serve another year.
If you read what I poster earlier, it was a good post. I went on about how a parental guardian of an infant has a moral and legal responsibility to report a missing toddler. She didnt tell anybody for a whole month, went to clubs and took pictures, and got "Bella Vita" tatted on her back.
The story she lied about was that the nanny named "Zanny" drowned the baby in the backyard kiddy pool. I think she came up with that because she tried to kill the kid with Zanex.
Hopefully she gets what is coming to her in one way or another.
