It blows my mind how a person can be found not guilty for murder when it took 30 days to report a missing two year old child.

Casey Anthony Trial
So she was found not guilty on all charges except lying to police. This is like another OJ Simpson trial verdict.

Re: Casey Anthony Trial
Just for people who don't know about it heres the lowdown...
-bish murdered her kid
-then went out and partied for 31 days before reporting child missing
-made up false story about the nanny running of with her, turns out there wasn't a nanny
-made up tons of other lies
-goes to trial
-child found in a swamp with duct tape over her mouth
-searches found on casey's home pv for chloroform and other incrminating terms
-traces of chloroform found in trunk of car along with dead body smell reported by witnesses
-duct tape of the same brand/style found in the anthony home
-defense argues that it could have been a drowning which is lulz worthy
-found not guilty
-everyone rages
Heres the little girl...

Basically everyone thinks she's guilty apart from the jury.

First, that is assumed, second it is disgusting for us to wish death upon a murderer, it makes us no better than them, it isn't righteous justice.

Everyone in the world might know that she's guilty but if the prosecution screws up their side of the argument, it is the duty of the jury to judge the trial based on what is presented.

You'd be an idiot if you think she is not guilty for murder or association of murder.
As for the death penalty, she deserves it. She murdered an innocent 2 year old. What did that kid do to deserve it? She basically got a few weeks in jail for murdering a 2 year old. How is that fucking justice? Even if she was found guilty, the most she would have gotten is life sentence in prison. Why should we pay taxes to keep a murderer in a cell for her life? Society suffers too. Plus, if a death sentence was in place, other people would think several times before committing murder. But what message are we sending out now? That you can murder someone and possibly get off for free?

The death sentence is a horrid abuse of power, it's official murder.
I don't deny that she was guilty, but I prefer life in jail to murder.

That would be true if you murdered my relative and I went to murder you or your respective relative. But the person executing the murderer here would be a government, not some personally effected person. There is a big difference.
Do you honestly think a life sentence is an equal punishment for taking someone's life?

By the way, Rolo. If a person is found guilty, I think the relatives of the murdered should be allowed to receive financial compensation instead or totally forgive the murderer. But they still have the right to allow capital punishment if found guilty.

To build further on this saying, if a life sentence is the correct punishment, you will just have a world of dead people or people in jail. It's not any better, is it? At least with capital punishment, other people will think twice about committing murder.

So the government doesn't have the right to tax people?

The constitution protects citizens from cruel and unusual punishment, I would class murder as that, right?

People don't have the right to murder. A government is not treated like a person although it consists of people.

Who are you to define that?
It's cruel and unusual regardless, unless you are a barbarian.
There's a reason why so many civilized nations have abolished the death penalty...
Wait, I thought you hated the US?

How can you honestly say depriving someone of their life, considering there is "legally" nothing afterwards, as the state and church are separate?
