Dzeko Hattrick downs Old Lady!A hattrick for
Edin Dzeko has booked an unlikely place in the Quarter Final draw of the
Europa League in a stunning display of attacking prowess.
Dzeko was appearing in his first game since injuring his hamstring and truely made the difference. Spurs were trailing
3-1 from the first leg and it looked as if Cam's boys were going to dump out of Europe at this early stage.
The game started well for the North Londoners with
Luka Modric passing well in the midfield and
Griezmann causing lots of problems for Juventus' right back, Parshivlyuk but it took over half an hour for the dominance to make an impact
as Dzeko got on the end of a delightful ball from
Tom Huddlestone to slot it past the helpless Romero! The game then kick started in the second half with Dzeko adding to his tally in a 6 minute spell at the
69th minute with two goals.
With ten minutes to spare, Dzeko was taken off to a standing ovation and his replacement, Nikola Kalinic scored a 4th to wrap up the tie and add some icing to the top of an already lovely cake.
Spurs Captain Luka Modric spoke of Dzeko's contribution in the after game interview saying; 'He's a real talent, and you can see how important he is, he really came out with fire in his belly today and we have him to thank for being in the next round of the competition. Hopefully he can continue his goal scoring form for the rest of the season.'
