Pretty decent team. I just hope we don't play that terrible to the point where we won't get invited anymore like the U.S.

Another scandal hits us. The sub-22 team's hotel rooms were robbed on saturday night. They say the players probably brought prostitutes Laughing with them before and might taken the keys and gave them to four men who were the ones who robbed their belongings.

Mexico beats Bolivia with a goal from Chivas defender Miguel Angel Ponce.

We should really be beating them by at least 3 goals. Neutral

Well, they suspended 8 players from the sub 22 team.

Jonathan, Fabian, Cortes, Calderon, Vidrio, Hernandez, Cabrera, and Israel Jimenez

This is exactly why we shouldn't send a bunch kids to a prestigious tournament Neutral Now we're even more screwed.

I came home and the first thing I hear is this prostitute business.

Jesus Christ, how fucking embarrassing. It's just one thing after another with the National Team, its getting really hard to support them.

And why the fuck did Fabian have to be one of those player. Jesus, fuck this, I feel like topping myself. facepalm

It really is embarrassing, i mean can't they do this type of stuff on their own time, damn man. They're putting the NT into shame.

And now Jonathan? Had a chance to play with his brother for the first time and he does this. Official Mexican National Team Thread - Page 2 58503

Sidenote, Diego Reyes is still there though. Very Happy

One of the players tweeted something saying he is sorry and that to protect a few players a larger group suffered. So some players took the fall and not all of them were guilty I guess.

    Not exactly full of confidence.

By the way, that might be the tallest pair of center midfielders I've ever seen Mexico play with.

These suspensions won't have that much of an affect since Jonathan was the only starter out of the 8.

Apparently some players took the blame to protect 4 other players. 3 of them are married. Now i only know two who are married and that's reynoso and michel, but Reynoso wasn't there. This is fishy...

Chivas confirmed that they are going to punish(along with having a talk with him to discuss what happened and the reasons for it) Marco Fabian for his behavior. It looks like Atlas will also take similar actions.

Good for them, these players don't only represent Mexico but they also represent their clubs.

Also, I'm sure you are all aware but Ochoa signed for French powerhouse AC Ajaccio.

I think that's a good way of taking care of it. If you do something in the NT to this extent, you should get punished by both imo.

Yeah, a powerhouse that holds a huge 10K stadium capacity. Laughing , Seriously, they said PSG made a counter offer or something.

Interesting to see Monterrey has so many players in the national team. I know not every player in these teams make it when it comes to being important players to their clubs but it kinda shows you that Monterrey isn't just a team that buys superstars, but that they do invest in their youth.

Ochoa finally made his move to Ajaccio, even participated in his first training session. Cool

I think a lot people are still in that club rivalry mode when players move to europe and don't support them because of the team they played for. That should go out the window once they go abroad, after all they're still mexican.

I don't think it is, it's the most hated team in the league. If anything, they'll criticize harder because of it. Can't remember the last time a player from there got slack in the media or by opposing fans.

That's the excuse ever Memo fan makes, but it's false, well it's not really, but it's mostly false, yes he gets more criticism but not because he plays for America but because he plays for a big club, it happens to every player who plays for a big club not just to players who play for America. If you are constantly in the spotlight and don't perform you are going to get criticized.

In Memo's case he gets criticized because he underperformed, underachieves and is media hyped. He's just always in the spotlight because for the Club he plays for.

No one ever criticized the likes Pavel or Zague as much as they do Memo and they played for America, but these players performed week in and week out for the majority of their careers, not play well for a weeks go a couple of months being average and then play well for another couple of weeks.

But, whatever I'm done talking and hearing about Ochoa, so glad he's finally gone, and it's a tiny club(By the way I hear he signed a three year contract or something, the way I see it Ajaccio plan on selling him after they go back to the second division) too so we won't hear much from him, he'll probably only come up when the National team call up discussion come up.

Another article involving Marco Fabian and the Quito scandal.

Well, it's not his fault he's media hyped. The only thing you blame him for is under perfoming, and even when he doesn't he gets criticized anyways. But glad he's gone now too, sick of the media with their bs stories, they create most of them anyways.

So is Marco trying to say that he was wrongly accused or does he just want them to investigate more. The thing that is interesting is that why did Marco wait so long to talk? He had the opportunity to talk at the airport but they all ignored the media.
