It was so hard to leave out Bergkamp. Bergkamp is arguably better than Henry, but Nistelrooy and Henry's goalscoring record and dominance of the Premier League throughout the 2000's, plus the fact this is a flat 4-4-2, just edges them over him. Although Giggs has scored in every Premier League season he was never as good as Pires at his peak, some may argue Giggs has the advantage because he played consistently over more games but imo he never dominated like Pires did. Makelele is another who deserves an honourable mention and would probably get into my team based on a balance in the central midfield partnership, but I think Scholes and Vieira has enough balance between them to warrant their inclusions.

I dont see the point in having 2 strikers.. Henry was a mile above everyone so give the other space to a midfielder.

This isn't an actual team to go and score goals though is it?

4-4-2 is the best layout and fairest to defenders, midfielders and attackers together, also it's seen as one of the main formations over the years.

4-4-2 is how it should be done, Henry being miles better than any over striker means fuck all.
