We could have done better but that wasn't so bad. Can't believe Anelka missed that 1v1 especially after getting past Fabianski.
It looked like Arsenal wanted to score goals in style rather than just scoring. Like that chance Chamakh had to shoot but decided to do a backheel pass...

By the way, I can't recall who was comparing Fabianski and Turnbull back when we played Newcastle but surely Fabianski is miles better than Ross Chelsea vs Arsenal | 4:00pm | Sky Sports 2 - Page 5 894246

That has to be one of the stupidest things said here. If we were scared our defence would have crumbled under the pressure, clearly the tactic was to counter attack, and we did, and we won.
Funny how you had to counter attack against a team who had lost their whole spine. Laughing fp to the win though, couldn't really stop the 2nd goal but the 1st shouldn't have counted due to the foul given for Chelsea. Rolling Eyes Both Redknapp and Souness said it on SSN it was a foul on Song, it's only Chelsea fans that say otherwise lol

Even if the 1st didn't count, still would have been 1-0. And we didn't have to Counter attack, that was the tactic, we done it last year and won 2-0, we done it this year and won 2-0.
The whole game would have been different if your first didn't count. The game wouldn't have gone exactly the same if your first wasn't given. It was an open game in the first half, second half the majority of it was Arsenal.

And how many chances did you create? Yes you had the ball, but it's useless having the ball if you didn't create anything, you had about 4 chances the whole game, Chelsea had at least 3, probably a bit more but 3 is still more then 2. Possession =/= Chances.
We created more chances than you, lol 13 to be precise. Indeed we had the ball, and we did have you pinned back in the final 3rd for most of the second half and we easily deserved a point..

13 Chances? LOL. What were you watching?

Deserved a point? If you deserved a point you would have had to have broken through our defence.
13 chances, says on BBC Sport?
I can't believe your saying we didn't deserve a point tbh, you hardly beat us convincingly. We were the better team just didn't score, and thats been our problem for some time now.
Im just gonna leave it now, no point muggin you off anymore, because it's pointless when you can't even admit we didn't deserve a point.. Laughing Im proud of how we played against the Champions tbh, we could have easily come away with something without our spine. Not many teams, in the world could say that.

Yeah, and over half of those were long shots or silly things that were never really going to happen.

And you didn't really deserve a point, otherwise you'd have scored and got the point. Yes we can praise Arsenal's attacking. But chelseas defending was better, and the attacking. So if you can stop a team from scoring and go and score 2 yourselves how does the other team deserve at least a point, yes you can have all the possession in the world, but it won't necessarily get you goals.

It was just the fact he couldn't admit we didn't deserve a draw! Considering the amount of players we had missing, and the way we played, easily deserved a draw. I shall leave it there anyway and look forward to the games after the international break.

I think the gunners did very well yesterday I think they could have easily gotten a point based on their midfield performance they kept the ball very well. but they seem to run out of ideas once they get to the edge of Chelsea's box (similar to last season fixture) and in the end their production in the final third wasn't good enough (Chamakh HAS to score that near post header in 82nd min, that is why they bought the guy! for headers like that)

Sure you can complete 100, 200, however many passes through the middle and keep the ball all you like but you have to create more than what they did to score. They didn't work Cech 1 time besides Arshavin's 2 shots (predictable considering he is the only player besides Nasri that can shoot from range in your team.)

Like the zonal marking guy said on his summary of the game the problem Arsenal continue to not learn from is letting Ashley Cole get service into Drogba. It was deja Vu of last season at the emirates all over again for the first goal. You can complain all you want about Ramires fouling Song in the build up (he got the ball and its not like he killed the guy like De Jong status) but the fact remains somebody fell asleep and let Cole sneak in behind them.

Also don't forget Lampard being out really does affect the entire team, he doesn't usually score against Arsenal but he gives our midfield a better outlet than w/o him in the game.

And please don't complain about the referee. He was very good allowing the game to flow (which suits your team more than ours) +some REALLY dodgy offside calls in the final 20 minutes allowed Arsenal to stay in the game IMO.

Fabregas was more of a loss to us than you's lot not having Lampard tbh, also not having our best defender definitely played a part in the match. None the less it was a fair result.
