Who cares, the manager trust me, I've worked hard to gain the respect of the players, I do what my job for the team, no matter the age.

Looking at that, no wonder teams play hoofball! At least it's easy to draw and understand.

Of course football is a triangular game (at least it should be). A player with the ball should always have at least two other players in support: one to the side, the other up (or down) the field.

How many times, it's nothing to do with passing the ball

He's using triangles to plot an allotted space for each given player to stick to.ahlycotc wrote:Sean wrote:How many times, it's nothing to do with passing the ball

Lol this wouldn't work. It's a stupid idea. You're basically putting a cage round players, constricting them. Defensively it would leave the opposition with so much space. Attacking wise, it would just be ridiculous. What happens after a set piece, like a corner? Players can't just stay in their allotted spaces through-out the match, it's just stupid. I hope the Manager sacks you.
If it was any good it would already have been done.

A good idea in theory, however theres a reason why a lot of teams can't pull it off that well and it's all down to ability and having a bit of forethought when it comes to moving into the right position. It looks to me like a more disciplined version of watching Barcelona, as in less flexibility when it came to players moving around the pitch and sticking to certain triangles? I could have the wrong end of the stick, however it does seem as though it would require players with a fair bit of ability to pull off.

Ok I'm going to try ignore what seems like you trying to tell me to fuck off it's shit in a polite manner, and answer this seriously, but I don't know what I did to you in the first place.
Yes I am putting the players in a cage of sorts but it's to get them to play how they have been assigned to play and not drift off and leave space open (like a defensive mid becoming an attacking mid). I don't understand why attacking wise it would be ridiculous because attacking players (attacking midfielder, wingers etc.) still have the creative freedom they would normally would lets take an attacking central midfielder for example, he wouldn't drift out wide but he still has the creative freedom to do what he wants through the middle of the attacking half of the pitch.
For the defensive side if the tactic is implemented correctly it should leave enough defensive players to cover it when they are attacking, not leaving many spaces for the opposition to break the team down.
For set-pieces that would be a time that it's consider reasonable to break outside your triangles to defend and stop a goal.
Oh and on the sacking bit, he announced he's leaving in a few weeks (better job etc.), and till they find someone they consider suitable to replace him, I'm the manager which will most likely be my position till the end of the season.

Yeah I can understand the ability and flair part the one thing I believe is that most good players can be taught anything, with this tactic being no exception, the idea of where the triangles, or where one territory starts and ends is something that will be tough to see on the field at first but as more games go on players would understand where they are meant to be. I don't really know what to say for the Barca comment but I guess Barcas style is something everyone wants to replicate but add their own touch to.
And nah you got it pretty spot on with what you where saying, but I still do reckon if players are taught it correctly that they would understand it and be able to play under it.
