Central African Republic have secured their first-ever World Cup qualifying victory after beating Botswana 2-0 on Saturday.

The Wild Beasts, who meet Egypt in the CAN 2013 qualifiers this month, were inspired by a brace from striker Foxi Kéthévoama.

It is only Central African Republic’s second ever competitive win, having stunned Algeria 2-0 in the CAN 2012 qualifiers in 2010.

The big result leaves Herve Loungoundji’s side on top of Group A, which also includes South Africa and Ethiopia.

Well it was a nice story but the winners of the first round are pretty much done now, it would take a miracle for them to qualify now.

Today Japan won 3-0 against Oman in the first match of the final Asian qualifying round for 2014, Honda, Maeda and Okazaki scored.



Also as Ahly said, Argentina won 4-0, however he failed to mention other players than his lover boy Messi

I always think I'm overrating how good Messi really is, that I'm making him better in my head than he really is, then I watch him do something like that.

This. They are arguably the best attacking force of any country. Messi, Aguero, Tevez, Di Maria, Higuain, Lavezzi, Milito, Lopez, etc. Teams would kill to have an attack like that. Other than Zabaleta, they have a mediocre defense.

I still think they will do well at the World Cup. If they can just outscore the opponents, they will be fine.

I wonder if Mascherano plays as a centerback for Argentina too.
