I just realised a mini Suarez arguement as I posted it. I think he's a brilliant player, but has been a little overrated/hyped since he joined Liverpool. Still really exciting to watch.
Another overrated player imo is Chicharito. He's no more than a younger, Mexican Michael Owen. Owen would have scored the same amount if not more this season if he had been given the chances Chicharito has been given.

When you play and adapt as well as Luis Suárez has there is reason to build a lot of hype around him and be excited about how much more there is to come. That doesn't mean he is being overrated, not at all.

The majority of people here were mentioning about him for player of the season so it's not as if he's not talked about. I don't know about where you are but around me everyone seems to worship him like he's one of the top players in world football and to me it seems like he just had a long purple patch running from the start of this last season until around January.
