So at the start of the game, Tyler was saying England are the best u-21 team in the world, I feel like i've been completely deceived after these first 2 matches. It's basically Strurridge + the defenders that are worth any note. Lansbury did well off the bench but oh man, how the hell is Henderson worth 12 or 20 million pounds? From what ive seen he looks no better than Jay Spearing, why did Liverpool buy the guy? Mancienne is god-awful, he literally welcomes opposing players to get a head start ahead of him, usually about a 1 second head start before he's able to shift his feet to chase, and oh man does he chase! Chasing is all he does all game!

Welbeck looked alright but he's always isolated. The entire team's attack seems to revolve around Sturridge but he can't do everything for them, he needed help but wasn't getting any support. But damn, the best thing of all was when Pearce threw on Muamba on the 88th minute, talk about going all out or the win!

Mancienne is actually a decent ball playing footballer. But, it's clear he's not comfortable in the middle. He's best played in the back but obviously you got Smalling and Jones who have been immense. If you want a proper CDM play Muamba.

Say what you want about Mauro's english/grammar but beyond that I thought he spoke a lot of sense after the Spain-England game tbh.

And where's Cleverly at. He's supposed to be a midfield maestro but they got that headless chook Mancienne in there instead. Before this tournament the last time i saw these players play was against Iceland i'm pretty sure and they had Cleverly with McEachran in midfield and Sturridge playing as an attacking midfielder behind Defouneso(sp!) and they played pretty well. I would of thought Cleverly and McEachran would of done pretty well from the little bit of time that I saw them but i noticed McEachran didn't even make the squad lol. Nice forward thinking there by the mastermind that is Pearce

Why has Pearce not brought Albrighton on in two matches?

I think we have some decent players, but I just think the way we're playing and our tactics are wrong.

Our defence is quality, and we have a few outfield players who show very good potential, but we're not using them properly.

McEachran should definitely have made the squad, instead he got injured playing with the U-19s

Don't play Welbeck up top on his own, all England do then is long ball. I'd rather see him on the wing, he's played well there for Sunderland. Could try Sturridge on his own or even go 4-4-2
