Re: Serie A 11/12
Great move, some of their creativity has been lost recently, Seedorf and Ambrosini are ageing, Pirlo has gone, so good deal.
Lazio have got a tough start, AC Milan, Genoa & Palermo in a month.

It's actually a loan deal. But if he makes 25 apperances for them then they can buy him.

I seen, it is always hard to buy someone who has been bought for so much, but not played much, I think he will achieve that.

Palermo sent Cassani on loan to Fiorentina. Who the hell thought it was a good idea to send away the best rightback in Italy?

Idiots, but strange choice, they have Cerci who can play there & De Silvestri, but I think he will play.

Re: Serie A 11/12
Cerci playing RB?
Cerci has no defensive experience whatsover, how can he play right back? he's not even right footed....that is like saying Robben can play right back for Bayern or something.. If also you didn't know, Cerci was Fiorentina most impressive attacker for 2nd half of season...and no way he play right back.
It's good for Fiore but bad for De Silvestri...who was breaking out. Better team for Fioretina this season, Jovetic back...and new creator with Lazzari...they should have a much much better run than last season.

Re: Serie A 11/12
Did I say he does or he can, Marcelo, everyone says he will now play more as a winger, yet he up until this window has played LWB/LB, Lahm is right footed, yet he can play on the Left and cut in, foot does not dictate where you play, Sagna has been playing Left-Back, he is right footed. His natural position is as a Winger, but then again, many would say they (Like him) can play as Wing-Backs, identical.

Sorry Clark, but that was just dumb.ClarkY wrote:Did I say he does or he can, Marcelo, everyone says he will now play more as a winger, yet he up until this window has played LWB/LB, Lahm is right footed, yet he can play on the Left and cut in, foot does not dictate where you play, Sagna has been playing Left-Back, he is right footed. What does Marcelo play LW from LB have to do with this? yes Lahm is right footed and can play LB because his left foot is very good and he's a balanced player. Cerci on the other can is very one-footed and can't use his right as good. Sagna played left back also because he's more balanced and he's actually a defender.
What you are saying...is like saying you can play someone like Arjen Robben as RighBack...that's ridiculous.
Cerci playing RB for Fiorentina is just suicide for them.

Yeah i'm not really sure where Cerci playing LB has come from?
It's like us saying, we're lacking a LB, so let's play Walcott or Chamberlain there.

Re: Serie A 11/12
Roma done some bulking up despite failing hard out of Europa League (although the Italian teams do not seem to care about that tournament even a little, which cost them European points as i remember)
But getting Stekelenburg from Ajax (I believe its just a stop on the way to a top 3 club in England or Spain) and buying Simon Kjær back from Germany (former Palermo player) caught my interest. I may have to watch some Roma games now Although caring entirely, is unlikely i do not like Totti he is near opposite of my favorite players.

Stekelenburg
Burdisso - Kjaer - Juan - Heinze
De Rossi - Pizzaro
Totti
Bojan? - Osvaldo - Borriello
I have no idea how the attack lines up, but that's a pretty good side. Don't know who would play instead of Bojan. Perrotta maybe?

Re: Serie A 11/12
Jose Angel for sure will start over Heinze, Burdisso is main CB and Rosi or Cassetti out wide on right back. Midfield can change depending on formation but main De Rossi, Simplicio, Pizarro or if they playing 4231 I expect to see Bojan on left, Osvaldo on right Totti treq behind Borriello. But Osvaldo is more important as main striker unless Lamela is going to get much time in the team.arsenalap11 wrote:Muhkoo wrote:Roma done some bulking up despite failing hard out of Europa League (although the Italian teams do not seem to care about that tournament even a little, which cost them European points as i remember)

Ah shit yea, forgot about Angel. Thought Burdisso played RB for Roma though? Didn't he last season? But fair enough.

Some later games like towards end of season I seen him playing RB for some games, but through whole season he played all CB.arsenalap11 wrote:chiboygeorge wrote:Jose Angel for sure will start over Heinze, Burdisso is main CB and Rosi or Cassetti out wide on right back. Depends what you mean by chances. Of getting CL footy? Don't think they have a big chance myself.
I'd say Milan, Inter, Juve, Roma, Napoli are all ahead of them atm. Palermo have fucked it up a bit this summer though but Fiorentina could do better.

True, they must have some confidence, they were so close last season, Udinese and Palmero have not done any better, but those teams are in a much better position.

Re: Serie A 11/12
If Cissé manages to settle in quickly they'll do a lot better than they did last season. Last year they were reliant of Hernanes for just about everything in an attacking sense and none of their forwards stepped up when they were needed (especially Zárate who was so productive a couple of years ago). Defensively they're not bad and Radu was immense last season but they need to be better as a unit. Definitely not top 4 for me though.

Re: Serie A 11/12
I agree, Hernanes always seems like the most attacking player for them, if the new players settle in, they can score more goals, defence is a worry, Radu is a real Defender, but they will still concede to much.
@Arsenal - I'm unsure, if he is, they are leaving it late.

Re: Serie A 11/12
Zárate doesn't see eye to eye with Edy Reja and has had more than just a few rifts so he's VERY likely to leave.
