guy wins the golden boot and doesn't even get put on the bench for the CL final!? He could've chipped in with a goal today. Did he have a falling out with Ferguson or something?

If this is the end of him at Man U I would take him back at the Lane in a heartbeat.

Berbatov would have never chipped in with a goal today.

He hasn't scored in Europe in over 2 years.

He would've had little impact on the game tbh, and he's inconsistant as fuck.

But then again i would've picked him over Owen.

Don't think I've ever seen something like it in football. He could've been a useful sub late on, just for kicks, has more to offer than Owen for sure. He's certainly out of United though.

Berbatov is better then Owen and Hernandez. But anyway what exactly happened? All they said was that he wasnt used as a sub and he was nowhere to be found.

My theory is that whenever Fergie sees Berbatov he is reminded of Andy Garcia and recalls seeing The Godfather 3 for the first time, and is just disgusted. So he benches him.

he has more skill in his boots then any of our strikers and I don't understand Fergusons decision to stop playing him, makes no sense. This is the same guy who scored 3 against Liverpool, 5 against Blackburn, etc. etc. don't see how you can bench him. I feel bad for the Berb this could've been the biggest game of his career.

Berbatov is like a dog, he'll find his way back to WHL, his home.

Owen didn't even come on. I really don't see the reasoning behind picking him over Berbatov if he's not even going to come on.

Bit strange that Berbatov was played as the lone striker against us in the semi final when really he needed somebody beside him and tonight they do play two up front but he's not even on the bench.

Not score 11 of his 21 goals in 3 games.

Brilliant achievement, but he's inconsistent as fuck. Not scored in Europe since November 2008. We would have needed a striker who if we got a chance who would bury it. Between Owen and Berbatov, there's only one winner in that.

Berbatov has always flattered to decieve for a start. Secondly, United were playing against opposition that they'd have to put a huge shift in defensively to compete with. Berbatov and defending is a fucking oxymoron.

Berbatov would of been much more useful than Hernandez this game, people overrating on how much pressing is needed on Barcas defence. Berbatov would of provided a much better link from midfield to attack.

Berbatov had more goals in those three games then Owen had all year. Berbatov is classy, Owen is past it. Makes absolutely no sense. Berbatov is better then Hernandez as well, Hernandez was a lost puppy caught offsides so many times today and didnt effect the game in any way. Berbatov could've given them a spark off the bench. He is an Ole Gunner Solskjaer type of super sub.

I think he was off signing for a German team.

I think Ferguson made the right choice playing Hernandez, but Berbatov should have been on the bench over Owen. He provides something different than either Owen/JH, who are similar players. I really don't see what Owen has done this season to deserve to be elevated over him.

well now you all have looked byeond the hype and realise Berbatov is really a shit player with good technical ability but poor everything else. would have been useful with his firstg touch if he actually layed off the crack tonight
