Re: Modern Warfare 3
Good trailer. England..
I hope they don't do too many set piece button timing things in the campaign like they did with Black Ops, it just breaks up the flow of the game. I hate that shit, just let me play the fucking game without all of these annoying and random cut scenes popping up. /Rant.

Looks good, but I doubt i'll be addicted to it like I was with COD4. Never really liked any other COD games after that.

It's the sequal to MW2. Same war.
I know a lot of the plot because I'm ITK. Sounds brilliant though. Good to see England in this, though ti looks like it could be brief.

If you're watching the video, don't scroll down, because some cunt revealed the ending. I looked around for the plot to it and found this website

Re: Modern Warfare 3
I'm not interested in this game anymore.
The trailer is garbage too, it's just shit blowing up. "Oooh cod cod, let's buy this game because new york is blowing up". Fuck off, every year this piece of shit comes out and I'll admit, they're not bad games but it's eating mine and other peoples money away like the fucking conservative party. Time to put my foot down and give up expecting these games to be any different when it's just the same bullcrap each year.
One man surviving entire explosions in the face, only to live through the thing because his pal lends him a hand and lifts him off the floor. I guess he's ok now and can go ahead and 'save the rest of the world on his own'. Oh sorry, not on his own. Him and a bunch of other untouchables. Paint a skull on one of their helmets and give them a stupid god complex name like 'nightmare' or 'hawk' and he'll become a fan favourite. Money money money.
No thanks

MW3 is a sequel to MW2 as that was for MW. That's no secret.Jord wrote:I'm not interested in this game anymore.

Anyway, I would think the same, that there'd be little point in buying it as aside from the single player, the Multiplayer does get repetitive, however if they are making a brand new engine than it'll probably be worth it on it's own.

Re: Modern Warfare 3
The multiplayer on COD is shite, full of hyperactive 12 year olds with incredible twitch reflexes that buttfuck you untill you've had enough. It's been shite since MW2 and i can't see that changing tbh.

Re: Modern Warfare 3
there was hype months ago that it would be new engine for the game but just by looking in the trailer its the same thing
it will be a pretty big mistake i think
when blackops come out people did not like the fact that it was largely same game with only little bit difference but accept it because its cod
but to do this twice in a row, basically same game with very little difference from the former game. its dangerous
i will give mw3 a chance when i buy but my hopes are a little bit down after watching trailer.
i disagree multiplayer is bad though. for me cod multiplayer is the best fps there is and really if not for that i probably would not even enjoy any of the games besides cod4 and waw

I also hate how superhuman your squad is made out. Sure, the SAS is pretty amazing. But some of these missions are a little unbeliveable.
Also hate how your guy is the bitch of the squad.
What I do like are some of the plots. The storyline can sometimes be pretty intresting, see Black Ops. This also looks different to otehr COD's. London terrorist attacks and shit. it's not all running up a hill and shooting people. Reckon this will be the last year we will see Price. He's dragged on a bit. Infact, I wouldn't be surprised if this is the last COD. It will piss off too many people if they go back to WWI.
Also, the multiplayer can be pretty addictive.

I havent really enjoyed any of the COD games since COD4 but i did love MW2 for a little while till people started one man army noob tubing and stuff. I hope they don't bring that crap back in MW3 or else I wont even bother buying the game
I'm really excited about BF3 though.
Regarding Price, well...........dont read if you don't like spoilers

- Spoiler:
Apparently the game is moving on from Taskforce 141 with Price and co etc, and we'll be introduced to a new group of characters called "Delta Force" who will work with Price and will then take over fully in the next MW4(?) game or at lest that is what infinity ward intends.

Re: Modern Warfare 3
I'll definitely get MW3 however i probably wont play it as much as the other COD/MW games as Resistance 3 will be out in September and in my opinion if Insomiac sort the online and return it back to the way it was for Resistance Fall Of Man it will be much better then MW3s online

Fair enough,
Hope there is a decent British campaign though. Delta Force sounds American, and I prefer British missions.

- Could this mean a main character (Price/Soap) dies? Oooh, it's all coming out now.

Did you see the graphics and movements? Doesn't look like the old COD.Mc Babel wrote:It's the same engine polska. How dare you consider that COD games would have to do something different!!!
Considering other games have stepped up massively (look at B3 coming up), It wouldn't surprise me at all that Activision try making a new engine. It's about time too.

They don't need a new engine, they've got this far because of the engine, why risk ruining it?
The movements looked different most likely because it was a cutscene in single player where your character is doing something on his own, like when the helicopter crashes and stuff like that.

Re: Modern Warfare 3
Inifinity Ward themselves said that it would be Counter productive to make a new engine and would take to much time. So basicly they don't care because the game would still sell shitloads anyway.polska. wrote:Did you see the graphics and movements?
