Why do playoff games get given to the best refs?

I think it is unfair taking the big games of lower leagues are given to the PL refs. What has Webb contributed to the Championship this season. Fuck all!

Great motivation for referees of a lower standard to improve their game when they know the big games are going to be taken off them.

If they do well enough they will become professional referees, that is their motivation.

That's the reason: Money. The FA are giving the clubs less of a chance to say that the ref fucked them ovem, by putting a better ref on the game.

But as it has been proven tonight... PL refs aren't even that good.

There are some PL refs that drop down to Championship, if they get the playoff game then fair enough.

But Webb has rarely, if ever refereed a Championship game this season.

He has reffed 1 Championship game this season before tonight.

The FA likes to give every club a shot at getting fucked over by a top Premiership ref, the playoff clubs even more so, since they are likely to experience it more frequently the following year.
