Well I never did. Always accepted he had his faults. But he always had the pace and decisiveness to change all that. Now he's lost that half a yard and with it he's lost alot of his game.

Re: Andy Carroll v Fernando Torres
what point are you trying to make? that he is/isn't a technical beast?
because I brought up the point that he's not, so if you have proof of me saying he is than post it - if it's everybody else than don't bother..

th epoint is that to many people in this current forum are contradicting themselves in regard to torres being "poor touch, absolutely useless most of the time, cant pass" and are saying they were sayting this for many years etcyet when 2 years ago they never said such thing and infact praised torres for those things
for me, its not about whether torres can do this or not, because everyone here knows im the most intelligent on this subject and the fact is torres is not to great technically.torres compared to ibrahimovic or villa technically is like comparing essien to pirlo or scholes. just not the same class.
but the hypocritical stench of this forum is a big stink of filth. so like a crusader i will name and shame those who change their opinion as often as they change their underwear, unless you are vivarooney who does not wear underwear

"I don't like this Carrol guy, I know he's scored a lot of goals but I have a feeling he won't ever be that great, even if Torres never goes back to being the player he used to be I still think he'll be better."
Sure I added abit. To say he can't be better than the current Torres pretty much means he's shite.

What the hell? I never said he can't be better than the current Torres.
I said that even if he doesn't go back to the player he used to be I still think Torres will be better, not being the player he used to be doesn't mean he can't be a good player, or even a very good one, just not world class.

Word it right next time.
You haven't seen enough of Carroll to make judgments on his potential ability. You could argue that I haven't either.

Torres, when he's on-form, is one of the best strikers in the world. Without a doubt.

Re: Andy Carroll v Fernando Torres
But I've seen enough of him for him to leave an initial impression, and that impression was not very impressive. I might be wrong, and it's even likely that I am, hell I used to think Valencia was a one dimensional bag of poo but I was wrong. But until proven wrong I've already made my initial opinion.Eternal Witcher wrote:Ché Guayaba wrote:What the hell? I never said he can't be better than the current Torres.

Re: Andy Carroll v Fernando Torres
TBH in that City game he did nothing but score 2 goals - the first luckily fell to him and he smashed it in with his sweet left. The second was a awkward deflected header.
I like the guy honestly but there isn't much to his overall game ATM, I'll give him time but I do doubt.
