Re: Andy Carroll v Fernando Torres
Well I don't believe Torres will ever reach top form again, he's played close to every game, and he looks a shadow of himself.
It's not fitness issues either, he's definitely lost something to his game.

Where's Mauro to describe Carroll, he sums him up best
Something like.. "no technique, big elephant"

I think Jon Parkin Vs. Andy Carroll would be a fairer comparison.

Re: Andy Carroll v Fernando Torres
both players have been shocking but is obvious when torres getting rest and worthwile pre season in chelsea he will be back to beast mode
but carroll is just really bad, torres mis controlling balls because he needs a rest etc etc, carroll mis controlling balls because hes like that normally, such a backwards player/; only a backwards club would utilize such a big slow tree like him i have to say

Re: Andy Carroll v Fernando Torres
I don't like this Carrol guy, I know he's scored a lot of goals but I have a feeling he won't ever be that great, even if Torres never goes back to being the player he used to be I still think he'll be better.

Oh that's sorted then. Carroll is just shite. Torres in his current abysmal form is still better than him. /thread.

Torres aint mis-controlling because he needs a rest - he's always been like that - he was like that for Liverpool, his overall play was terrible but at moments he would be magic.
He basically needs the whole team built around him with everybody working to supply and support him.
He's lost the magic now because he's not at a special club - he sold himself out.

Re: Andy Carroll v Fernando Torres
no no no, thats just ridiculous, how come all of these users on here were saying torres is a technical beast, amazing dribbler etc back on the old ea forums circa 2008 and 2009 that he was as such? amazing contradictionsEl_indian wrote:mauro=beast wrote:both players have been shocking but is obvious when torres getting rest and worthwile pre season in chelsea he will be back to beast mode

Re: Andy Carroll v Fernando Torres
technical beast?? they're fucking idiots..
Like I said for the majority of a game he'll be quiet (his movement is always good though) and then suddenly out of nowhere he'll do something amazing (where he becomes a "technical beast") like dribble past 4 players, score form a crazy angle etc etc ...
This is always how I've seen Torres and this is how he's always been. I'm pretty sure the majority of fans have seen him as such as well, It's kinda weird TBH.
lets see those posts..

Re: Andy Carroll v Fernando Torres
Torres has a dreadful first touch most of the time. Kind of what you would expect from big slow trees such as Carroll.

Re: Andy Carroll v Fernando Torres
I think I'm well informed when It comes to Torres - analysed this guys every move when he was at Liverpool then again so did everybody else.
pretty much worshiped him...yup, old Fernando Torres

Re: Andy Carroll v Fernando Torres
Also Carroll can still contribute when off-form. Just needs to adapt to his target-man role with Liverpool, which he will in due time. When Torres is off-form, well there's no need to explain.

Re: Andy Carroll v Fernando Torres
the only person that acknoledge torres as having inconsinstent manipulation capablities 2-3 years ago is fine shaggers on old ea forum, everyone else, not just liverpool fans, would list him down as being "brilliant dribbler" "first touch blessed from god himself" etc etc, comparing him to ibrahimovic in that regard etc. i have the proof, just need to put it into a nice little post
