Who should be the manager of the season?

Will add a poll when I feel like all the names are here.

Alex Ferguson obviously in with a very good shout. To win the league and reach the Champions league final with possibly one of his weaker squads compared to the United teams of the past is a brilliant achievement. Definitely the best winner for me.

Roberto Mancini has come under a lot of criticism for his style, but he's led City to 4th place and won a trophy, so he's got results. I'd be biased if I picked him over Fergie but I do feel he deserves to be mentioned.

Kenny Dalglish has only been here half a season but he's transformed Liverpool fortunes. I don't think he's manager of the season because he's not had enough time and didn't actually win anything.

Alex McLeish would be in for a better shout if Birmingham had done better in the league, but it's really special to win something for the Birmingham fans considering how little they've had. Felt he deserved to be included for that alone.

Kenny Dalglish.

Ferguson. Won the league with our worst squad in years tbh, and he somehow kept hold of Rooney when everyone thought he'd go.

And we're in another Champions League Final. When was the last time a team got to 3 finals in 4 the years, the 90s?

Hes done well to make the side confident but... spending 57 million in one window and coming 5th does not make you worthy of being Manager of the season.

Some people might not agree with me but i think Ian Holloway deserves a shout, if Blackpool stay up that is. They've come into the Premier League with a very small budget and basically a Championship squad and look how well they've done. Would be an incredible acheivment for him if kept them up considering how tight its been at the bottom this season.

I still think Fergie should win it though, but he should defo be a contender if Blackpool stay up.

Took a team from the bottom half to 5th place in half a season with a net spend of £0.
We also have a +24 goals difference since he took over.

Fair point, but the only reason he came 5th was because he took over when they were in a bad position and didn't have enough time. I think a lot of people feel given more time he'll get in the top 4. He did perhaps overspend on Carroll, it was a panic buy more than anything else.

It'll be Fergie for winning the 19th league title. If Dalglish is there for half a season then doesn't Hodgson deserve a mention? He's done wonders with West Brom since he took over.

I agree. Spending 16 million and making top 4 is nowhere near the achievement of spending 57 million and coming 5th.

If Liverpool are in better shape than Arsenal next season then Liverpool will get top 2 at least because Arsenal will be up there this year so that is suggesting Liverpool will win the league
