The downside is playing Thursdays and then having to reschedule games in the League.

Yes i would still agree with that, but if it comes to a choice for the sake of the club i would rather finish 4th than win the Europa League although until that comes a choice between the two i would rather stay in Europe.JMB_94 wrote:I remember a lot of Liverpool fans saying they'd rather finish in the top 4 than win the Europa League.

You'd play better players as you progress obviously..
When you play teams like Rabotniki, Slovan Liberec, Celtic, Graz AK, TNS and that you'd play the ressies.
That doesn't have anything to do with my point. That was because we had a new squad and hadn't found a best starting line-up. That's besides the point also.Cam wrote:SBSP wrote:Yeah, you're going to win it by playing your reserves.
It's funny cos your team failed to even qualify for the group stage (I think)
Like there, he's saying it like winning it with your reserves is something simple, which it's not.samiz wrote:Yes. Play the reserve team and if we win play our first team in the Super Cup (against winner of CL). 2 trophy chances so why not?

If United, a team who actually challenge to win the top competitions, were to drop out of the Champions League next season I'd be very happy if we won the Europa League. It'd be even moreso if we hadn't won anything since the Charity Shield in 2006.
Why do Spurs fans think they have a divine right in brushing of a European spot lol? Come back when you have 5 European cups, 3 Uefa cups and 3 super cups.easley91 wrote:No, that way we can have a clear fixture list next year when pushing for Champions League and be fresher for the end of season run-in.
