He is overrated, but I think a lot of his contributions are off the pitch (not that that really matters when choosing the best player, though).

Wait, I remember that. People saying that he's good enough and deserves to have a big move to a team like Liverpool or Man Utd this summer then us two saying how he's had his chance with Chelsea a few years ago? Suspect

Funny how the big team glory hunters get mad when a good player at a lower team wins something.

It's not like that at all facepalm

Everyone got angry at Bale winning the PFA player of the year.

Don't try and take the usual 'I support a lower league team so I'm the best fan in the world' stance. It just makes you look like a cunt.

I'm not but kyro is basically being a tit because it wasn't a Man U player that won it.

Seriously, theres more to his game than just passion and commitment. He has alot of technique as well but people just ignore it cause of the "He must be shit because West Ham are pants" card.Rolling Eyes

Was Matt Le Tissier shite because he played for Southampton all his career? No.

Parker isn't just a defensive mid, he is great at keeping the ball. Don't see many players turn like him nevermind defensive mids doing that.

Parker is obviously a media favorite, and while I don't think he's had a better season than a number of players, in some cases these individual awards goes to a player who's done brilliantly on a bad team (based on the fact that a lot of people assume it's easier to play on a good team -- different argument though) and I can agree with that. While I wouldnt pick Parker myself because I would give this award to the best player, I understand the reasoning behind it and it's less of a disgrace than Bale winning PotY and Nani not even being nominated.
