Scott Parker
I was just wondering your opinons on Scott Parker because i think he has been amazing this season and mostly his one man performances have kept West Ham going this season i hope he leaves and goes to a bigger club where he can win trophys.

Re: Scott Parker
Been West Ham's best player by a mile again. Looks to be forming a good partnership with Hitzelsperger in midfield, will be 2 of the main players that could keep them up.

Re: Scott Parker
Single handedly kept the hammers up this season. Although more recently Cole, Ba and Obinna have been great.

Re: Scott Parker
good player but I dont really see him starting at many big clubs. No Room at Arsenal or Chelsea, I think hes better than barry but I think if city wanted a replacement theyd aim higher than parker. Hed be behind Modric and Huddlestone for us, although id be happy having him since hes better than jenas and palacios. Dont think hed start for united over fletcher/scholes, but im sure hed get a good number of games there. Dont think liverpool would need him when they have pretty similar players in meireles and gerrard. Villa, everton etc I could see happening but i think hed go to one of the top 6 really.
so yeah, spurs or united imo.

Re: Scott Parker
Who's going to want a 30 year old player when he'll only be at his best for 1 or 2 seasons? And that's pushing it.

Exactly Ben.
Didn't really get going with Chelsea either.

Re: Scott Parker
obviously no club is going to pay 20 million for him but if you're implying that 30 is too old for clubs to want then

Re: Scott Parker
He's missed his chance.
Bigger clubs want to buy midfield stars for the future of the team, not for a 1 or 2 season booster.

A player like Parker would be very handy to have around at a top club regardless of age

Good mid-table player, doubt he'd be effective if he made a step up.

Would probably rate him more if he could pass better. He's very average.

Re: Scott Parker
So overrated by pundits it's unbelievable, they act like he's the only reason West Ham are able to play. He's the engine of the team, the main and best player but he's just overrated by pundits to the core. Obinna is just that guy who's good a dribbling, no mention of his impact either ect.
Glad he won the player of the month, about time

Re: Scott Parker
1 or 2 seasons? You have no idea "when his legs are going to go". For all you know, he could do something similar to Scholes and Giggs and end up still on the top of his game in 4 or 5 years timeluke. wrote:Who's going to want a 30 year old player when he'll only be at his best for 1 or 2 seasons? And for all you know he might not...
And Parker has never been the quality of Scholes or Giggs so a top club wouldn't need to have a 35 year old player of his quality on their books.
Younger and better players are available

Re: Scott Parker
He still going strong now and doesn't look like his legs are going to 'give up'
You can't say 'oh no clubs will want him as he's too old and his legs might go' because it's pure grade A bull

Of course I don't know, but I'm not saying as if I know for a fact he won't be good in around 3 years time.luke. wrote:Danny wrote:1 or 2 seasons? You have no idea "when his legs are going to go". It doesn't matter that he's not as good as Scholes or Giggs. Their ability has nothing to do with the fact they've looked after themselves and are still playing at the top level. Parker could easily still be playing in the Premier League in 3 or 4 years time for all we know, big(ger) club or not.

The point is he won't make it a big club, it's too late, and when he had his chance he didn't take it.

Re: Scott Parker
Yeah but not the likes of Spurs or United.
Well Spurs is a maybe, but they'd be better off going for someone else.

He could do a job at Fulham alongside Danny Murphy.
