Er... OK
Pick any 2 of them.
Really? No. None of them are anything special atm. Maybe Hernandez is doing decent.
Berbatov is top scorer in the Premier League, Rooney is almost universally regarded as being one of the best strikers in the League, and Hernandez is the best young forward in the League. I don't see what Carroll or Suarez have done that is so special that they would be better than any of them, Suarez has had a good start, but so did Verón.

Anyway we saw Carroll and Suarez together V Sunderland, Carroll was shit and totally out of tune with Suarez.
So shit he got his second goal line clearance in two games

Are Liverpool fans being serious about Carroll and Suarez being better than Anelka/Drogba/Torres, Rooney/Hernandez/Berbatov and Tevez/Silva/Dzeko.

Still your team. Ferdinand would've broken his back trying to get near him and Vidic probably would've dived in and got sent-off..

Fact is Gerrards got a big mouth and just put a nice bit of pressure on them. I don't think they can play together because Carroll is technically shit. I will come back to Dave's comment after you come to the Emirates because you can't even beat us at Anfield.

Aside from Drogba, yours isn't anything special at the moment.

Re: Gerrard lol
How many good strike forces are there in the league anyway? Most teams that play 4-4-2 have strikers who are below par (bar United), and the best strikers in the league usually work alone. Hernandez and Rooney is probably the best, but honestly in terms of a duo Carrol and Suarez can't be far off. Think Carrol is a donkey though.

Comparing him to Veron
Berbatov has been insignificant recently. Plus he never scored much against decent, in-form sides.
Rooney just hasn't been the same since last season.

I think it's a bit simplistic to look at an attack as 2 players, lets say Arsenal.. they attack with Nasri Walcott Van Persie Fabregas.. if you know what I mean.
Like Nani has been one of our best attackers, Suarez is Liverpool's Nani.. the flair player who comes up with something out of nothing.

Re: Gerrard lol
To be fair, his last comment which everyone laughed about was when he said Joe Cole is a better footballer than Messi, and while Messi has been slightly better this season, Cole is only 43 goals behind him.
They're both technically gifted South Americans who have had a good start to their careers. I'm not saying Suarez is going to have the same career as Verón (he probably won't do as well as Verón did). Even if you try to dumb down the achievement, Berbatov is still the top scorer in the Premier League, and Bolton who he scored against in his last game, are a decent in-form side. Rooney isn't as good a goalscorer as he was last season, but he is still better than Carroll and Suarez.

19 games, 11 goals for Newcastle.
2 games, 1 goal for England.
4 games, 0 goals for us. (Back from injury and should have 2 goals had it not been for Kuyt and Cattermole).
Not bad.

Yeah but then we'll have Hernandez scoring the goals.. along with hopefully Rooney/Berbatov.Eternal Witcher wrote:kyro7 wrote:I think it's a bit simplistic to look at an attack as 2 players, lets say Arsenal.. they attack with Nasri Walcott Van Persie Fabregas.. if you know what I mean.

I'm just saying the attack goes further than the front 2.

Yeah but if all off them strikers were at there best, then Liverpool's attack is not the best in the Premiership.
Also Drogba has not been anywhere near his best this season.
