Re: Your local club
I guess I picked Wisla as a young kid, like how Aussies/Americans choose to follow United/Liverpool/Arsenal etc. because after all, I was in the same position as them, without a local club. Plus GKS Katowice was having a spell in the lower lower leagues at the time. The other clubs in Katowice, Ruch Chorzow and Gornik Zabrze, are from Chorzow and Zabrze. It'd be like supporting a team from Kitchener or Oshawa rather than Toronto itself if you get me. Oh and the one other club that is local to me is 1. FC Kattowitz which is a club supported by neo-nazi's.
It'll definitely be interesting if Katowice's new billionaire owners take them to the Ekstraklasa. I'd have both Wisla and GKS in the same league. Though I don't think it'll happen soon, the owners are pulling a QPR. Shitloads of money but spending very little on it on transfers.

Meh, I don't blame you for gloryhunting, since your only gloryhunting in your country.
You could be like the douchebags that gloryhunt other counties' clubs.

No, I don't really find it gloryhunting because before I moved to Poland, I was a Polish national born abroad. I had no real roots with any Polish city in particular. When I moved, I had already supported Wisla all my life, I wouldn't dare change.

Re: Your local club
the local club, at my dad's place:
(used to play for them)
http://www.stlyngbyif.dk/
At my mom's place (parents divorced, still living with them):
http://www.aalholm-if.dk/
At uni:
http://www.postme.com/fcpolyt/default.html (i'll hopefully be playing for them soon)
Local "big" club:
http://www.lyngby-boldklub.dk/
Stadium is literally in walking distance from uni campus
I'd just like to point out that Store Lyngby and Lyngby are different towns, and Store Lyngby is, despite the name, really small (less than 1000 people).

Exactly. Where I come from is gennerally a Celtic supporting town because our local team plays in green and white hoops. Couldnt give a fuck about my local team. Even more annoying is that most of the town because overnight Buckie Thistle fans because they won the league. Gloryhunting such a small team. Pathetic cunts

Cheltenham Town FC. Live 2.07 miles from the stadium. Don't know of any teams closer in any division.
