So, Roben van Persie got a rather contorversial red card.

The rules are clear - kick the ball away intentionally, to stall the play after the ref blows his whistle = yellow card.

However, could he hear the ref and or see the linesman? If he could either, the red card is justified, if he couldn't, he really shouldn't have been sent off. Do you think he could hear the whistle or was looking at the ref?

In theory, celebrating a goal is wasting time also seeing as the clock keeps ticking. How about players stop wasting time and run straight back to their side to restart the game?

Oh wait, there is stoppage time for this... So why didn't he just add 10 seconds on to account for him kicking the ball away.

Obvious time wasting should be punished with a yellow card, this is usually if it is done more than once.

    I voted no too.

I doubt he could hear it, and why the fuck would he want to look at the linesman in this case, he's a striker, his job is to score goals.

Definitely not. Thought they should of have a few red cards though, Koncielny and RVP on Alves for instance.

Wow, I haven't seen the one with Adriano grabbing Nasri's neck. So there was a neck grab by Abidal on van Persie, a slap on the face by Busquets on van Persie, and a neck grab on Nasri by Adriano. So three unrightfully called red cards there then Coffee

I wasn't saying they shouldn't of got any reds either; I wanted Arsenal to go through. Dani Alves should of got a yellow for diving.

And a perfectly good goal disallowed as well as a penalty in the box that wasn't given. So what are you bitching about? You didn't get screwed anymore than Barca did.

I think that's Adriano on Nasri.

I'm not saying anyone got screwed, I am just pointing out the fact that Barcelona could have ended up with 8 men.

Or, someone who can see Van Persie was looking at the linesman when he flagged, and that a left footed striker shot quickly with his weak foot when he had plenty of time.

Was it a fucking disgrace Barca weren't awarded a penalty in the first leg which would've changed the 2nd leg dynamic?

Was it a disgrace Messi wasn't given a goal in the first leg, or Pedro a penalty in the first leg, or Messi a penalty in the 2nd leg?

Koscielny clearly got the ball therefore your argument goes out the window.
Anyone with football knowledge will know that the game should of been abandoned before the van persie incident. There should of been 5 red cards for barcelona
