Re: Liverpool FC Official Thread
If he's playing behind the striker it's either a 4-5-1 formation or 4-4-1-1, either way there's 2 midfielders behind him who will be assigned to do the defensive duties. He's really doesn't like the defensive side at all. His role's to feed the striker and chip in here and there. Him being shit in other positions doesn't make Sigurdsson better than him.

I like the look of Borini but buying an Italian player is always a risk.
Regarding Joe Cole, apparently Rodgers is a fan of his and he's going to be a Liverpool player next season. There's a quote from the Lille manager somewhere.

Re: Liverpool FC Official Thread
That doesn't exclude Van Der Vaart from doing nothing for the midfield, he might aswell be a striker I'm not talking about versatility as to why Sigurdsson is better (I don't know what other positions he can play) I'm saying Van Der Vaart is only good in the attacking midfield postion but the way he plays means it hinders the team and since he can't play anywhere else he is useless unless you risk sacrificing the midfield get overrun.19Jones19v wrote:If he's playing behind the striker it's either a 4-5-1 formation or 4-4-1-1, either way there's 2 midfielders behind him who will be assigned to do the defensive duties. Boring grew up through the youth systems in England so he's no stranger to the game.

Great, your negligence in checking your autocorrect left me confused for five minutes. Thanks a lot.Gatsby wrote:Boring grew up through the youth systems in England so he's no stranger to the game.

I thought it was quite obvious what he meant.
Would be a good thing to get one of the good young German players. Not sure about Kuba though

He's Polish and all the excellent young German players are at big clubs already.

Re: Liverpool FC Official Thread
Apparently Alladyce is considering a bid for Carroll. I wouldn't sell him unless a large bid came in, which is not going to happen.
In the event that we do sign him, then we need to replace him in addition to Borini.

I wish he'd stayed at Wolfsburg or moved to another club where he'd be a starter. Fucking Bayern...

So Rodgers said that we "may complete a deal for one player this week - maybe two."
So Boring and maybe Ramirez? Not bad.

That's actually a nice team. Dunno where Ramirez plays though.
It's a shame that our depth is a bit shit

Re: Liverpool FC Official Thread
By the looks of things Ramirez can play anywhere just behind the striker, a bit like Suarez. If we sign him I expect him to play where I've put him.
Hoping Aquilani stays too. As well as Cole.
