Re: Are Barca boring to watch?
Are Barcelona generally boring? Not if you think watching a team get dominated is boring. Of course there will be periods of the game that seem boring, but that's normal for any team. Barcelona also pass a lot until they find an opening in the defense. The passing itself is sexy to watch.

Bayern vs Dortmund was a good game. Did you watch it?

Sometimes yes, sometimes no.
There were periods first half and late in the second half where it was boring.
There were a few periods in the 1st leg too.......all of which came when Barcelona were ahead in the tie.
I don't blame Barcelona for being boring when they're trying to keep the lead but none the less it's boring watching them pass it about whilst the other team sit back because it's hopeless to try and get the ball.
Football is exciting when it's competitive.....Barcelona can be too good and make it uncompetitive sometimes. Like I said...I don't blame them but still.

Anyone who thinks Barcelona are boring should be punched in the mouth several times and be told never to watch football again.

I think a Barca goal involving 100 passes is worth the wait...the goal itself will end up being more entertaining than anything any other team could produce in an entire season.

Re: Are Barca boring to watch?
They are just absolute class and i just cant understand how people think they are boring, most times i watch them they play some amazing football and well if the other team's could get the ball and get at Barca i think they would be even better to watch them counter attacking them but thats a hard and very dangerous thing to do.

Re: Are Barca boring to watch?
the way Barca play, completely nullifies the opposition! it more or less removes them from providing any of the entertainment! there are not many classic end to end games involving Barca. but Barcas style is as close to perfect as i've ever seen football played! they are better technically and tactically than everyone else, and that makes for some very one sided games where the Catalans retain the ball, pick their passes and wait and wait and wait for the killer ball! there are long periods of the game where it appears nothing is happening but then in an instant nothing turns into a seven pronged attack while the opposition chase shadows!

You never see them play optimistic balls if its not definetely on they don't play it,really have to admire the vision and awareness of this team.

Re: Are Barca boring to watch?
When Barca are on the attack looking for a goal and the defending team are so held back that Barca create chance after chance then it's alright.....but it's periods of the game where Barca just dominate possession that the boredom sinks in....especially when the opposing team are so useless at chasing down that the Barca players don't have to do much special to keep possession.

Route one football isn't the only other option to posession dominating football you know.LFCJordan wrote:Barca best team in the world. there passing is just wow! there build up play is just wow. There through balls are just wow!

In my opinion Barca are pleasing to watch, but they do take the excitement out of the game. When they are passing it around for a while in midfield I'm pretty confident I can get up and go for a piss without missing much, but if it's an exciting end to end game (like I'm hoping Spurs - Milan will be) then it keeps you glued to your seat. I know which type of game I'd rather watch.

I think you are understating Barcelona's ability to keep the ball, the high line, coupled with their intense team pressing and the technical ability to dribble through pressure make it hard for anyone to out posses Barcelona, if you can get 40% possession I would see that as a win. It's not for the lack of trying.

Hear! Hear!
I really hope we can find a way to contain him if we get to Wembley... Although judging by his raid against the Madrid defense, that's impossible.

Re: Are Barca boring to watch?
The game was awful, but it was NOT boring. The foul play going on was what ruined it.
