Not very optimistic though, I doubt It will work for me. Considering my GCSE's didn't go very well.

Re: Jobs/Careers
I graduated from university in May 2011 with a degree in management and concentration in finance. I worked for a company until September 2011, then quit. It was a boring job and I was paid 100% commission (i.e. nothing).
Right now I'm unemployed and looking for a full-time job. However, I referee soccer on the weekends and looking for a part-time retail job for the weekdays.

Shit, but the course and qualifications are subsidised....usually 100% (especially if you're 16-18)

Re: Jobs/Careers
On weekends I work at Costa coffee which I actually really enjoy.
This September I'm hopefully starting a Uni course in Broadcast Journalism with hopes of going into radio/music journalism.

I don't work. Don't need to and don't want to.
I'm at uni and I'm doing engineering, but I'm not sure if I will do it, im thinking about going back to a math degree.
If I do engineering, I'll go into software or civil.

Re: Jobs/Careers
studying Business (Marketing) at university, getting sick of it - took the year off last year and did a bit of travel and work.
Don't see myself as that fucking annoying networking talkative type; looking to get into something else this year - entry level job or even computer related courses.
University was a big waste of time - theoretical, monotonous BS. Should have found a job/apprenticeship or even a practical based course straight out of school, would be much further forward by now.
Every employer is looking for fucking experience..

Re: Jobs/Careers
I'm on ~14k a year at the moment, which is getting paid for 40 weeks work really because I spend 12 weeks at college which is technically unpaid (they just pay the college fees). But they just give us the same wage every month rather than giving us less in months when we're at college.Jelavic9|RFC wrote:Anybody doing an apprenticeship? And if so, whats the wages like?

Re: Jobs/Careers
I'm going to work for a year when I leave 6th form and then see what I want to do, either go to uni or apprenticeship.
But there is no way I am going to uni in the UK. Its cheaper in Germany. The people over there didn't believe me when I told them the prices for uni in the UK.
