I'm doing Psychology. It is interesting.

Not easy though, and you have to study for a long time before even getting a sniff of a career in the field..

What kind of stuff do you study at A-Level?

A-level is like final year of high school yeah?

We looked very very generally at topics like Brain Function (and it's parts), Memory, Vision, Perception, Illusions, Gestalt's Principles, Sleep and Sensation.

In uni now, you cover a lot of the same but there's a lot more in depth information, and very specific assignments, which are usually completely unrelated to the rest of your course Neutral

Just started my second semester of my second year and this subject is Cognition and Mental Processes..so lots of work with the Brain

Yeah lower and upper sixth form.

That does sound good, how much is linked to Biology? I'm kind of worried about that because I don't exactly excel at Biology, although the topics you listed look really good.

What's it like at Uni? Would you recommend it?

There isn't too much Biology at high school level. You talk about synapses and neurotransmitters and their chemical values and what they do etc, but that's about it to be honest. I haven't encountered much Biology at uni yet (which im thankful for, because I also hate it) but I know that it will come into play somewhere down the line.

Look, it's pretty good. It isn't easy, and like I said, you have to study postgrad courses to really get a career in the field, so it's quite a big investment of your time more than anything. My work ethic is average, and I manage to do pretty well, I'm luckily sort of bright though. There is maths involved by the way, only statistics though, and they're quite easy if you pay attention to what's going on

I think if I could get my head around the biological side to it I would be decent at it. I'm like 90% sure that I'll take it at A-Level.

Work Experience is a good way of getting into permanent & paid work. Jobs/Careers - Page 6 1737351400 You just have to suffer for a month or 2 without pay.

Online is really the only way, unless you see jobs advertised in store. I only got it because my mum use to work there.

I'll try online, yeah I've heard it's very family orientated.

When I left secondary school I went to my local Institute of Technology and did Business Studies. I didn't really like it and added to the fact I stayed living at home and was pretty shy, it made college life really boring for me. I'm now doing a personal development course and hoping to do either a sports nutrition and fitness course or a computer course once I'm done with my current one.

lol so much for the DJ route. No time for that.

Got a new job though, accounts analysis. £10 per hour. Should lead me further into becoming an auditor someday.
