I don't believe that, seems ridiculous that the top 30 is mostly USA, surely theres better Universities in other parts of the world like Australia than the University of Illinois which is around 30 or something. Asians probably have better Universities aswell they just don't speak English.

It's a bit ridiculous comparing them considering each country has a different system. I have some mates at American colleges and they say it's just like High School in Australia except you go more in-depth into certain subjects. University of Queensland I know from personal experience is one of the best Universities for sciences. They are one of the leading Uni's in the fight against Cancer.

Literally that's what they're doing here.
Rich foreigners pay more so uni's take them in. The irony is that a lot of these foreign students build up debt, leave the country and there is nothing stopping them not paying back the fees......meaning that the cost is shifted onto the lucky British students who manage to get a place.

I dont know how it is in the UK, but colleges here don't take you for the money. It's based on grades and personality. So foreigners aren't taking anybody's place. If there were no foreigners, the college would not be ranked so high.

The thing in the UK is that the fees are a lot lower than that in the U.S.
Uni's want higher graders for the reputation but more for the money that comes with it. Better grades = more rich foreign/government investment in the uni.
Saying that without foreigners grades would be worse comes with what proof? People are getting 3/4 A's in their A Levels in UK colleges (there's pretty much nothing more they can do) but don't get a spot at the top unis because the unis let in foreigners who literally can't have better grades.
The fact is that these unis which rely heavily on taxpayer money should be helping local students as a priority...if there's any space left afterwards then bring in foreign students.
