Re: The Cricket Thread
Pitches here don't generally favour the batsmen. Around 300 is a good score. Still a dreadful performance by our top order.

Re: The Cricket Thread
67-4. Should have done better from there.
Hopefully someone can have an innings similar to Jayawardene.

Is Pieterson playing? I still think he can get back to the level during his debut series against SA.

Two hard catching attempts but he done well and was unlucky.

Maybe the sun was in his eyes for the first, but he completely bottled the second.

He's not a great fielder anyway so he wouldn't be that confident. He's the same for Sussex as well.

Re: The Cricket Thread
Fuck our batsmen, partnerships for the 6th and 7th wickets better yield at least a hundred runs.

300 is hardly impossible. We've gifted you a way back in.

230 to get with eight wickets. I really think we'll lose.

Re: The Cricket Thread
Great match.
Looking at BBC live text, England fans are horrifically arrogant. 240-5 and they're praising the life out of Trott and labelling Herath as just a little spinner with no bounce. Five wickets later, their team is shit and all their wickets were gifted to Sri Lanka.
Random fan who probably was praising his team earlier.
Boycott at 200-4.
Legendary Boycott again.
Vaughan.
Christ, 264 is a good total on this pitch. Arrogant twat. Why do they expect success when they have a rather average team? Swann, Trott, who else is world-class. South Africa have players miles better, and they don't go around like they own the place. The subcontinent is always a tough place to go.

Look at Vaughan."England have made history. They've gone from the best Test team to the worst in record time."
"It was just basic cricket that was required to beat Sri Lanka and 70% of the wickets were gifted to them?"
Boycott at 200-4.
The way they are performing, you wouldn't think Sri Lanka can bowl anyone out. It's a club attack.
Legendary Boycott again.
"I am delighted. It's about how many runs you get, not how you do it. I could be here for a record-breaking day! Herath wasn't troubling anybody. He's a nice, little spinner but not one who can get bounce."
Vaughan.
"There will be lots of questions asked of this England team. They have played four matches this winter now in subcontinental conditions and lost them all. There is absolutely no excuse in being bowled out for 193 and 264 on this pitch."

Guess you're not bothered by the international test match.
We've lost anyway.

I think it might be a draw if you have a good innings. Should have done 3 test matches.

Which team do you support in county cricket? I've gone for Lancashire at times.
