These are 2 different types of players. Torres rarely strays from his position. Van Persie naturally comes alot deeper than Torres and is further away from goal alot more than Torres. This means he wont get as many chances to score simply because his game is different. A goalscorer can only be judged on his goals per shots, especially in this case when we are comparing 2 different types of players and judging 2 sides of their game.

It does matter who moves where Torres has a better Goal scoring record for the minutes played and Goals scored in the premiership than any and thats the facts.

You are missing the point completely. Torres also gets more chances to score seeing as he doesn't move from that area. I'm pretty sure Torres gets more chances to shoot in the 18 yard box than Van Persie does so of course he is going to score more goals. The only way to find out who is truly the better goalscorer would be to see who has the best goals to shots inside the 18 yard box.

Totally different circumstances van persie came over from holland as a 21 year old he was not bought to be placed into the starting 11 straight away and start smashing in goals whereas torres was

Who cares about first 4 seasons, it's about now.

RVP did play a lot on the wing.

Even if I compare Van Persie's latest 4 seasons he only has 37.

Torres is still better as a player imo. Van Persie is in better form, but that doesn't mean he's better because imo he's not even close.

I'd rather have an out and out goalscorer in my team. Plus it's not like Torres contributes nothing but goals, he does do other things, some of his link up play with Gerrard was triffic.
