Most underrated/overrated footballer

Underrated: Yaya Toure. Was obvious way before he joined City that he had a lot of attacking talent but some people on here don't appreciate him

Don't really think Busquets is underrated. Diving aside he's been good and I think he's got the credit he deserves.

Agreed. They don't score goals, they don't rake up assists, and they aren't hard men. It's hard to classify them, I don't even know what to call em. Not CMs, not really box to box or deep lying playmakers either.

That is a great point actually.

People don't see what they actually do for the team come matchday.

Soldado as well. Nearly as consistent of a goalscorer as David Villa.

Also Huge one, Darijo Srna.

Srna is probably among the world's top 3 RB's, but since he plays for Shaktar, he get's little attention.

A lot of them underrated players are just run of the mill players. I wouldn't say they are underrated, just not really given attention. No one cares about them because they are neither fantastic or terrible.

They don't have to be fantastic to be underrated. They get barely any credit when they're big players for their teams who perform pretty much week in week out. The point being that they generally get little to no attention yet are good players....or better.

Silva has been worked very hard because he gets less space and it's rougher but he keeps possession very well due to good technical ability.

Like David Bentley at Blackburn? Good at Blackburn, moves to Spurs and was shite. If he were any good, we would still have him.

Parker is one of those players who is good at where is, put him on a better team and his probably a rotation/backup. Can't see him doing a thing for a top 4-6 club.

I think before the World Cup people underrated him, but I think everyone knows how good he can be now, has he been good or bad this season? Haven't heard much of him.

Forlan is one of those players who is underrated and overrated. He is not a flop but he is not the best striker in the world.

David Pizzaro is underrated as well, he is some player.

Most of Serie A/Bundesliga is underrated tbh.
