You can say that if you think Rooney and Ibra are pretty well matched that that is one of the reasons you'd prefer him over Ibrahimovic, in this case left backs today are in the final third so much more crossing is a huge point, look at Leighton Baines and what he has done for Everton with his brilliant crossing, it's a big thing to a full back.

I don't think Cole has done anything amazing this season to be called the best left back there are players who have done better like Marcelo, Antonini are people I think have done better than Cole but this is not valid to you guys because they are not big names to you.

Ok, since Marcelo is a better attacker I guess he wins right? because Marcelo is just as good of a defender as Cole

I didn't say Evra edges out Cole in general, just at defending.

As to who is better, it is debatable. I'd personally pick Evra because i'd rather have a solid back line and let my other players do the attacking. Plus Evra isn't exactly bad at going forward either.
