I said he edged Evra because of his cross, not he is the best because of his cross, his defensive and attacking play overall is better than any other left back, and so is Evra's, but Cole's delivery in the final third gives him the edge, I don't know where you got your post from but think about it properly.

Ok, but a left back job is to defend especially in a 4 man defense where anything else except defending is a bonus. You can just say Rooney should be preferred over some one like Ibrahimovic just because Rooney can defend or track back.

You can say that if you think Rooney and Ibra are pretty well matched that that is one of the reasons you'd prefer him over Ibrahimovic, in this case left backs today are in the final third so much more crossing is a huge point, look at Leighton Baines and what he has done for Everton with his brilliant crossing, it's a big thing to a full back.

i remember last season and before watch evra playing in every game his cross was so frustrate

always doing good hard work making good run but his cross was very poor to many times

always underhit,overhit or did not find anyone in box

very frustrate for man u fans because if his cross was a lot better they could of scoring many more goal last season,maybe winning epl but his cross was very poor to many time

A Fullbacks job is to defend primarily. Attacking is extra, and Evra edges Cole out in defending.
